Just an observation: Harden doesn't get a lot of elevation on his dunks, but he seems to have really long arms which allows him to dunk from further out than many other players.

I think Harden makes it look easy with the physical tools he has. I wouldn't be surprised either if his vert was up another inch or two considering he's 24 and likely at its peak

 

His max vertical was measured at 37 inches when he came in the league, not in the elite elevation category but in the very athletic category, and higher than the likes of Westbrook or Wade who are often attributed with the "elite athleticism" label.

I feel like Harden has the ability to play a lot more athletic than he usually does, but he seems more conserved in that aspect. Only in really high momentum situation (like this game) does he get pumped up enough to go all-out.

His 6-11 wingspan does help a lot though, but the way he cocks his arm all the way back (similar to what Lebron James does) requires a lot of athleticism to accomplish.

 

This is awesome in slow-mo. T. Jones' "HOLY SHAT" face is the best part.

lol @ Jones. I noticed that too when I first saw it, but the slow mo just makes it even more noticeable. When I originally saw it, I was thinking why in the world is Jones just standing there motionless and staring at him in an exciting situation like this? I couldn't decide if he was impressed with James' sexiness in that moment, was scared of him like "who the hell is that, that isn't the real James Harden that I know" or if he was just confused about what had just happened. Whatever the case, that was a strange ass reaction.

And 70's porno music is underrated.

omg...Jones is a creeper. You made me go back and watch the long version again. From the 1:50 mark on. Look at how he follows him down the court staring at him with no emotion on his face! Wierdo! Harden's dunk temporarily short circuited Jones' brain.
