If you tax wealth/income/consumption, it will discourage saving/earning/spending We're told saving money is a bad thing, that it will wreck the economy because no one will buy stuff or something. Much better to have everyone with lots of debt and little savings.
Standard market fundamentalism. "A page of history is worth a chapter of theory" In the 1960's and 70's a period of better economy for the 99%, though the one percent still had great life styles, we had sales taxes (consumption) wealth (higher inheritance taxes) and income (higher) the economy was better. Market fundies are still waiting for trickle down, but the larger public is starting to get it.

Because those are the only factors that affect an economy. BTW, Newsflash, Reagan isn't President.. No one talks about trickle down anymore except on daily kos. Welcome to 2014.
In the last few years they switched the spin to "job creators" , "liberty" "freedom", etc. for the one percent.
How could he win anything looking like that. What, is he going to Prom in a small town? Also, OMG fake Roman temple behind him. That is totally over the top man.
Previous CPAC straw poll winners: 2013: Rand Paul 2012: Mitt Romney 2011: Ron Paul 2010: Ron Paul 2009: Mitt Romney 2008: Mitt Romney 2007: Mitt Romney 2006: George Allen Real libertarianism?
You are right, I put a period instead of a question mark. I apologize for falling below my normal standard of proper punctuation.
Which is based on Roman temple architecture. Boom - you got busted with architectural history! Regardless, totally over the top and way too Hollywood for me. I never want to see columns or a coffered dome behind a politician. Especially one so folksy and real that he still gives a shout out to Garth Brooks Prom Style circa 1989 (the number another summer).
So the CPAC presidential straw poll picks a guy who thinks whites-only lunch counters should be legal. I like where this is going for the GOP.
Man the Republican field is a barren wasteland.... it is like choosing between having someone fart in your face or burp...
