Jordan Hamilton isn't a good player. Anyone who really follows the NBA can tell you that. A nice third string player, but nothing more than that. The problem with Houston is that people are used to seeing Garcia, who's been terrible the whole season, and Casspi, one of the worst players in the NBA, as rotation players for the Rockets, which makes Hamilton look a lot better than he actually is.
My point was pretty clear that even somebody like you should be able to comprehend it. Poor wing play for Houston off the bench for most of the season has led people to believe that Hamilton is better than he actually is. With all of the Nuggets injuries, Hamilton couldn't get any consistent playing time in Denver on a worse team.
He averaged 7 pts, 3rebs in 17 minutes a game before coming to Houston. Where is this inconsistent play you keep talking about? Oh, you mean in February? Your point was only clear to you. It is hazy and dim to everyone else.
Couldn't get consistent mins on a crap team like Denver with all their injuries and when he was given mins, his play was erratic....double digit scoring one game, very low single digits the next despite being given comparable minutes. I'm not even factoring in all his garbage time "production." Only badlee would think that Hamilton is a consistent player. No wonder you got that rookie title under your moniker. Well you could be arguing that he's consistently inconsistent, which in your warped world is definitely a possibility. After all you are the same guy that compared Royce White to LeBron James.
Kwame, I think we all can learn to trust in Daryl Morey. I'm sure Morey had some numbers done, or some kind of analysis from the front office staff that suggested this player was better than what was seen. Hamilton has shown some pretty good positives so far when has had time, and his shooting looks good.
Hamilton is better than Garcia and Caspi. Garcia is having a terrible season. Unless he suddenly turned into a KD shut-down defender and started hitting his 3's consistently again - this may be his last year with the team. Caspi shined early and sputtered out quickly, he is flat-out slow. Mentally and physically.
I see this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_P-osImVAiA The pistons are tanking but when Casspi hits shots he is very good. Casspi problem is that he's one the biggest if not the biggest small forward in the league and can physically do what he wants to the competition. Garcia, Hamilton, and Parsons need to play with the matchup but Casspi doesn't. He needs to be coached that way.
You nailed it with this quote. The fact that Hamilton has stepped in and started contributing right away is huge. It took about 1/2 a season before Dwight really started to look as dominate as he has looked the last couple of months so it stands to reason that it will take Jordan a while too before he is fully comfortable with the guys and the system on the Rockets.
That's fine but when he was playing he wasn't hitting shots. I don't understand how people can complain with Hamiltons production since being here. It's been good for his role! He's our 3rd or 4th guy off the bench! I love what he's brought to the rockets
As long as he sticks to 3's and D/ Rebounding, he will be fine. Ball handling is his main weakness. He is working hard to contribute to the team, which is much needed and appreciated. He is not a problem.
Casspi is too Slow too Play the 3 and too small to Play the 4,he really is just a garbage Time player So yeah enjoy him while you can cause he and Garcia will hopefully be gone After this season so we can Add some solid Bench Players instead of that trash we have right now
Good player, and YOUNG AS HELL! He will improve in our system, and learn from his easily fixable mistakes. (Stop trying to split double teams off the dribble) Daryl Morey strikes again.
He's a pretty big wing, and sometimes he stumbles while handling the ball and trying to change gears. But he can slash, hang, and hit. He can shoot the 3. He has great size and athleticism, and when you throw in hustle... It's like Scola said. And that play where he turned it over but hustled back to block the layup was nice, very nice.
I don't give a 5h!t about Hamilton's time in Denver. I'm just happy he's better than Garcia and Casppi and that we finally got a perimeter defender since Parsons is too busy trying to be an offensive star to do it. You're talking about how many points Hamilton scored in Denver... Well I got news for you in case you haven't been paying attention, the Rockets haven't had a problem putting up points so he's not necessarily here for his offense.
