LOL@ TINMAN, trolling hard. It's time to let it go bro. wooosar... P.S. I think we should retire Mcgrady's jersey amirite?
Don't call me kid you arrogant douchebag I don't think Tracy is as good as Hakeem by any stretch, **** i saw more of Hakeem play than Tracy play because of how incredibly awful i found any team coached by JVG to watch. but if it wasn't for Kahn, Dawson would be the worst GM of the 21st century, so it's hard for me to blame McGrady for what transpired with those teams.
Tracy Mcgrady and Hakeem sitting court side. Only Leslie brings his biggest stars to sit court side with him. He doesn't bring Ralph Sampson with him. Sorry Ralph. You sit with Maurice Taylor and Pig Miller behind the basket in Row 26.
Absolutely a Rocket Great. The FO has embraced him. The current squad embraces him. It's about time the rest of you change your rag and get with the program.
To this day this commercial still baffles me to no end: <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/okYQKF1924k" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
A Rockets legend... Tracy...??? Lolzzzzzzz....!!!! I have child hood memory and vivid memory of the Rockets winning 4 conference titles and 2 championships. I also have vivid memory of Tracy's Orlando team being up 3-1, Tracy being continuously defeated in the 1st round, and being injury plagued. Great regular season player and he kept butts in the seats when he played. By name recognition he's big time. But as far as longevity and accomplishments with the Rockets. If he's a Rockets legend than he's way down the list... Below Harden.
McGrady was great as a Rocket. Houston has some of the best fans, it's a great city and a huge melting pot with all kinds of people. He loves the city, he enjoyed the time he was with the team, and honestly he gave us some great memories. His overall good play overshadow the last season he was here. We don't talk about Hakeem going to Toronto do we ? NO ! , because at the end of the day it's a business, and he had to do what was best for him and his family. Just like Dwight leaving L.A. to come here. Just let it go guys
McGrady had some legendary moments, but I don't consider him quite a legend himself. I'm glad he's found a place with the team and wish him the best in his baseball endeavours. And while I consider him a great player, he, and Yao for that matter, just don't reach legendary status for me. Gotta consider longevity with individual and team performance/accolades. It's unfortunate, but their time here was riddled with injuries mixed with greatness.
Regardless of what you nerds think the Rockets have not had superstar upon superstar in the past 3 decades. T-Mac was one of the best Rockets of all time. Les thinks he's a Rockets legend.
LOL. It took tinman so long to recover from the mental meltdown in seeing Dream sitting side by side with McGrady. Can you imagine seeing God and Satan sitting side by side enjoying a game?
A legend? No. He's friends with Les though and lives in Houston sooo...he's at the games. If anyone considers him a Houston legend it's based on what his potential was instead of his actual injury plagued seasons.
Nah, someone who quit on the team cannot be considered a legend of that team. But no doubt he is still one of the best Rocket of all time.
McGrady isn't Hakeem or Clyde, but he is one of the best players to ever play in Houston. By the time he quit, he was done anyway, so it doesn't bother me that much.
Not really. He won't have a statue outside the arena anytime soon, but maybe a bobble head in a trophy case. The Orlando T-Mac would decimate the Houston T-Mac in a game of one on one.
I have to agree with tinman. TMac was a quitter. He quit when the team needed him the most. I don't understand why he's even sitting with Keem or Les.
