yeah tell that to the idiots crowning PG as the best player besides Lebron and Durant 3 months ago after a 10 game hot streak by George. Bottom line is, people knee jerked over a fluke offensive streak by PG because there was no way he suddenly became a efficient scorer over night, and it just happens that Harden was in a bit of a slump earlier this last year. I'm not even gonna say who was better, you simply can't judge players over 15 game stretches, their stats will eventually regress to the mean.
Agree. Logical, thought out post. Knee-jerk reactions are so prevalent in the NBA (and sports). Especially on this site
I'm must confess, I was one of the ones who put PG on a pedestal and proclaimed him as the next coming. I still think he's a very good player but he has some maturing/growing to do before he gets to the next level. James Harden has proven to me that he is willing to play defense and because of that, his game has surpassed PG's. Both are just right behind Durant and Lebron but they are gaining.
I have said it many times before. I think james harden is the 3rd best player in the nba. He has the complete package on offense and has proven to be one of the rare players that looks like he can be the best player on a chapionship team. He's getting almost ungaurdble and his efficiency is climbing back up and has been lbj and KD esq. this guy is a true superstar and at 24 the Rockets struck good with this guy.
It's not a slump when his shooting percentage gets progressively worse every month. October: 49% September: 47% December: 47% January: 41% February: 40% March: 36% Even if it is a slump, then he's been in a 3 month slump. George is a very good player, but offense has never been his specialty.
Who's George Paul? Uh, I mean Paul George. There was a dude on the Pacers who allegedly had that moniker, wandering around the court looking lost in the last game. Is that the guy?

The funniest part of that post is where he criticizes Harden for not playing defense and has Kyrie Irving on the list.
since everyone creamed me and fed me crow in that other Harden thread...I have to say...it feels good being right on this one... Told yall about PG...he's still just a chucker on offense.
