Eddie already is in trouble with pot we dont need anthony mason teaching him how to "hit on girls"

those four players you gave are limited offensively i think griffin has the potential to be great if he works hard

i dont get why people are willing to give up so quickly on the 20 year old

the only selling point? That is a pretty big selling point my friend. Pretty damn big.

Horry is a good defender, and can stretch a defense with his good perimeter shooting.

Do you realize Horry has gotten past the first round of the playoffs every year of his career?

The Rockets need vets that are reliable, Rice is not that. Horry has shown to be that.

And this notion that he takes the regular season off is overrated. If he really took the regular season off, he wouldn't be in the NBA. Horry has made big shots in regular season games as well.

The Rockets need winners on their team. Horry is a winner.

True, Horry was never a "basketball player," he was more of a specialist.

That's why I hate the fact that Rudy is teaching Griff to followin Horry's footsteps. This is not good.

Rice was a specialist, but at least he had good skills in other categories (driving, ball handling, dunking, finger-roll, etc...). Not just one or two things.

If Horry is no longer good enough for the former World Champions, it sounds weird to say still, then why would Horry be good for the Rockets?

Horry is done. The guy doesn't even play in the regular season and the Rockets have yet to show they would even make it to the playoffs. If Rockets pick up Horry then you know what direction the organization is going and it won't be about winning championships.

We already have a team full of guys that stand around the 3-point line doing absolutely nothing

I must agree that Horry's game has slowed over the years, but I believe he's just lost some love for the game with his decreased contribution w/the Lakers and his championship success. But I think with the Rockets he knows he will be contributing more and maybe his game will come again. I just hate to hear everyone saying this guy sucks. He has never been a superstar and never will be, but he plays D and gives makes the shots when you need him. I admire guys like him as they do not need the ball to contribute. If any of you know basketball or watch him play, you can see the little things he does on the court that helps teams win games period - tipping away balls, setting screens/picks, moving the ball, etc. These little things don't show in box scores but these are the little things that the Rockets need to move to next level...to the playoffs. Have "yall" really forgotten how big of a role he played in our championship years? If you think the Rockets or the Lakers would've won championships without him, I think you need to go back and watch some tapes.

I know we aren't going to win the championship anytime soon, but he would be a solid player that just might help us back to the playyoffs so at least Yao and Stevie can get some post-season experience for goodness sakes. And him being old? How can some of you root for the signing of PJ and not Horry? I would rather have Horry b/c he can actually shoot 3s which opens it up for Yao more. Sure, PJ can rebound better but we got Yao and Stevie, one of the best rebounding guards in the league. I would like to see Horry end his career where he started. He just might find the love for the game I think he's lost over the years.

signing horry would be great. so maybe he blew it in the playoffs this year, but at least he was there. if the lakers dont pick up his contract extension and hes a free agent, i dont know why we wouldnt want him back. one bad playoff year isnt enough to say that he's done for good.

What did he do in the playoffs? I think he missed 24 of his last 24 shots.
He sounds like a Houston Rocket to me.
    Sign him up!!!

Horry has a bad attitude. His time w/ Rockets has past.

I would love to have Mario Elie as an assistant coach then eventually head coach. He brings toughness and can relate to players.
That is assuming his interested. Afterall he is a Hou Rockets legend. Not in the Hakeen sense but well respected.

But what do ya'll think about a MoT-Horry(+ a little) trade? We would be trading to cut long term salary more than anything. MoT would actually be a very useful player for the LAL because they don't need the rebounding but do need a 4 who is efficient scoring--and Mo is efficient in scoring.

No way do not sign that LAZY PIECE OF CRAP.

Horry is the laziest player in the NBA, he is not one IOTA better then when he played as a rookie.

The guy has regressed....screw him...don't want his sorry a$$ on this team, we need players who work hard to teach these guys not guys who coast on the backs of superstars.

    Horry ....no thanks.

it would be a mistake.. sure, horry (pronounced as HOR-I not OR-I) maybe one of the main characters on the 94-95 championships.. but that was like 7 years ago.. he's aged up. plus, eddie is much much greater than him. eddi has more defensive capabilities. we dont need another 3 pointer coz we got rice, mobley (for the time being), posey (if he improves his shot a lil more), francis (same as posey's).

    on one hand:

he's one 5 championships. even if he can't play that well anymore, we don't need him to. we just need him to teach some defence, mental toughness, and bring focus to our team.

can he be the vet PF from the west that doc was talking about?

    on the other hand:

bad blood between horry, calvin and rudy make it almost impossible to believe.

would it work? yes. is it gonna happen? no.
