Not too concerned with it. Our bench probably does need to be strengthened a bit in the long run but we will score more than 15 most of the time.

We won....... Now we need to come back and beat them in Miami!

Lin should play like he played in the 2nd half in todays game. No turnovers, and just run the offense for the highest percentage shot. I'm not too worried about his shooting, its when he plays reckless and out of control is what frustrates the hell out of me.

Need Melo coming off the bench :)

There was 8 minutes when Harden was not on the floor and we were outscored by 13.

This is good info, thanks. I guess it could be worse??? They could be 29th in production.:(

I agree with a poster above - would have rather seen Casspi in there for some of DMo's minutes.

Though we won, every game should be a teaching lesson. Too many people here just letting the win cloud the flaws and weaknesses

Beasley got hot, Anderson as well - they played their bench more minutes....lots of things go into the disparity.

If you are going to look at it, look more deeply than just the variance in scoring.

    1. The "bench scoring" comparison can be pretty meaningless sometimes. So much of it depends on how many minutes a team's bench played and how the team mixed starters and bench guys.

Tonight, the Miami bench guys played 97 minutes while Houston's played 58 minutes. Bosh, Battier and Chalmers played 26, 20 and 22 minutes.

    2. Much of that 44-15 advantage is just Michael Beasley being incredibly hot tonight. Take away his 24 points on 9-13 shooting and we are talking about a 20-15 advantage.

    3. It seems that where Houston's bench really struggled was where the team had neither Harden nor Howard on the floor and Miami still had D-Wade on it. This is also when Beasley got hot in the 2nd half.

So I decided to look up the +/- and ..

    Starters
    Jones +17
    Parsons +10
    Howard +16
    Beverly +17
    Harden +14

    Bench
    DMO -14
    Hamilton -16
    Asik -15
    Lin -14

Thats just pathetic, the bench will have to help out... or we won't win these type of games in the playoffs..
