Who do y'all think will leave between Lin, Asik, and Parsons? Or do you think none of them will leave? Plz vote.
I wouldn't mind if the Rockets were able to part ways with Lin and Asik. It's time to take back my BBS!
Aren't all of them under contract next year, unless the rockets choose to make Parsons a restricted FA?
Why are people voting Lin? In terms of practicality... I'm just curious, since Lin's contract is so tough to move, where would he go?
OUT: Asik, Lin IN: Carmelo The Knicks are about to blow ANOTHER game to a terrible team. Were up 14 and are now trailing in the 4th.
You guys and your lof, hof, aof and cof is getting really tired. Why can't we all just go back to being Rocket fans? I pray for the day.
Yeah. But I was thinking about starting a thread along the same lines but making it meaningful. IMG Roster and salaries for next year. Who is under contract? Look up Bima's posts and find available money for free agents in the summer. Roster depth. Where are the weaknesses in the bench? What could possibly be an affordable improvement at the PF position? Is Hamilton the answer to the Parsons backup question? A look at this years lineups as far as effectiveness. RAPM. ASPM. It be the start of a decent thread.
If Morey couldn't dump Lin last month, I doubt he'll be able to dump him in the off season, perhaps at the deadline.
You know OP, you could spend the time to research the above issues and write a valuable post, if you have the analytic skills. And those skills are developed over time. By the time I know enough to write a post I have a hard time caring anymore.
You know if one or more players are traded they didn't technically leave... They were sent out. Might as well be a conversation for the random trade thread since pretty much everyone is under contract. Free agency is a different conversation. Jordan Hamilton would probably be the easiest choice.
The Rockets would likely want to part of both of them, but the market is simply much better for Asik. That's why he will leave for sure. One has to go to make space for Parsons contract.
Hopefully Lin will leave, but doubt it. Nobody wants to pay 15 mil for him next year. Looks like we're gonna eat that poison pill
