I don't think there are more than a handful of people that hate Lin. I do think there are many that hate his fans so much that when Lin plays poorly, they enjoy rubbing it into his fans faces. The hate on both sides is annoying though.

I agree some like to rub it in their faces but a lot of it stems from Lin fans making excuses for his poor play. If he plays bad, it's McHales fault because he is racist. Or Harden doesn't pass him the ball or Lin needs the ball in his hands to be effective (which is true but he is the 3rd/4th option on the team). I like Lin as much as the next guy and want him to get his **** together because I want to win. However, anyone playing the way he has been playing lately deserves to get criticized.
A game thread is a bad place during the game ... Once(it was the second game against Kings) i was watching the game and i was reading comments and it was awful ... It was the first and last time i did it ...
Seriously? Don't be so sensitive! Folks get pissed when he makes a bad play, same thing for Harden etc.... It is an emotional discussion that ebbs and flows, that is why it is the game thread. Jeremy is a great guy to cheer for, but right now, his game is a hot mess. We need him to be better.....my arm chair phsycology degree thinks that maybe he was looking forward to being traded and is not all that happy here - hopefully I am wrong and he is just slumping. DD

I do get the feeling there a more than just a "few" people here that want Lin to fail. I understand the LOF's and their constant whining can be very annoying, but Lin is still a Rocket and by all accounts a good guy. He is a little overpaid, but solid nonetheless. Until this recent 6 game stretch, in which he has been absolute garbage. We're gonna need him, so he really needs to snap out of whatever this is.

I'm sure there are but those are people who joined the board to troll or are fans of other teams. No real fan wants anybody on their team to fail (at least I hope not). Personally, I don't care if they start Clutch the Bear if it helps us win games.
ITA. I've heard him harping on Harden's defense and his propensity to dribble down the clock and then pass off to a teammate w/ a couple of seconds left more than anything else. He seems annoyed by players making the same dumb mistakes over and over. He and I have that in common lol.

Everyone is under scrutiny on this board but no current Rocket player is more polarizng than Jeremy Lin. And that's a fact whether you agree with or not. I do believe some on here are genuinely critiquing his game and rightfully so. But many have gone far beyond that. And this stupid argument because he makes 8 mil a year is just that, stupid. Since when did anyone on here pay the bill. And since when did Lin force them to pay him. And the fact is he hasn't made 8 mil in any year yet. With all his faults he still had a pretty good month of February. Someone suggested go to the game thread and you'll see criticism of Harden and others when it is merited. And that is true but why can't Lin's hate be limited to there. Why does every game he struggle turn into a Jeremy Lin Sucks thread. And why not others. I will be the first to admit Jeremy Lin has been inconsistent this season. But he is not the worst on this team. And in fact has helped us win some games this year. Yes believe it or not LOH's Lin has contributed to team wins. That's the other thing. Were are those people you say don't hate when Lin plays well. Hardly a tweet from them. Yes there is legitimate criticism here but there is also hate. My feeling is he is a Rocket and he works hard and he is a good guy. Those are all positives. When he shoots decent he mostly helps this team when he is out there. Can't he get a little love on this board for his heart. We give it to DMo and Hamilton after 2 games. People even forgive Asik after his disappearance act. Why not a little for a good guy who plays hard for the Rockets albeit not always perfect. Okay that's not gonna happen but at least can we wait till he stops being a Rocket to hate him.
610 is killing Lin right now... deservedly so, his stupid ass "jump in the air and not know what im doing" move is horrible... he is one of the main reasons why we are almost dead last in TOs.... hope he gets moved in the offseason
I know he's turned the ball over 133 times, the other 838 turnovers are his fault too. I don't really wanna defend Lin, because he really is playing terribly right now, but 6 games does not a terrible player make.
That's the thing, it doesn't beyond 6 games. In the 7 games prior (all wins), he was playing 34 MPG, and averaging 14 and 6, on 49% shooting, yet people want to act like that never happened.
Harden's averaging 3.7 TOs this season (Lin 2.7). So if you wanna throw the TO blame around you could start there. That's why we are almost dead last in TO's.
Just thought I'd point out that 20 members here are responsible for 1629 posts in this thread. 1629 from the "top 20" members in this thread with regard to individual posts. I would suggest that many of those members might want to find a better use of their time. Some of us would be grateful. Just to be clear, you are far from being in the top 20.
