Interesting comments. Can't he be hired as an advisor to Mchale?

the talent is here guys. But most of you don't know it, we will probably get booted out the first rd and sign Mchale for the next 5 years. Come right down Phil.

I think that it can happen, in a close playoff game with 5 minutes left, McHale probably will do it

Actually, I noticed the Twin Towers comment, and was surprised. I was an advocate of trying the experiment, and had hopes that were quickly dashed by the reality of near complete failure. That Jackson would go out of his way to mention that could dovetail with the "Jackson wants to Coach the Rockets!!" theory. He praises what resulted in failure, gives his reasons, perhaps implying that he could have made it work, particularly in the playoffs? See, I can play this game as well. ;-)-

LOL But is that a game you want to play? Sailing off into the oblivion of ignorance, misinterpretation and just plain stupidity? I do not think so. You are much to intelligent and rational.

Your opinion of TT is identical to mine.

I don't think that Phil Jackson is the guy to coach 82 games plus pre and post season any more at his age. But I do wonder if he would be interested in a role similar to what Jerry West has in Golden State as an "Advisor" to Les Alexander and Morey. Wouldn't hurt to have another voice in the room but the question to me is whether Morey and Phil can work together with their different approaches and whether they can find a way to work out situations when they disagree.

Phil Jackson would be a great guy to have when you are meeting with a free agent that you want to recruit.

I think the odds are greater that John Calipari becomes our next coach than they are that PJax becomes our next head coach.

Can someone breakdown why exactly the TT didn't work out so well? Was it spacing issues? Tj has played close to the rim and doesn't take many shots so I figured isn't Asik better suited for that role?

I think the salary Jackson would want to be an "advisor" to Les and Daryl would be rather spectacular. Sure, he's be hanging around if there was a sudden need for a mid-season coaching change, but what are the odds of that? I just don't see it, although stranger things have happened.

Coach Cal wants full responsibility ala Doc in LAC'land. Not gonna happen in this town.

PJax is likely to get the afore described Logo role IMO, and likely this summer.

    A: (Laughs). No, I. I'm sorry. I mean. Um, no. I don't (pauses). I like that. That's funny. I've got a (phone) call at 10 (a.m.) — how am I doing at time?

Great to hear compliments from one of the Best Coaches in all of Professional Sports. Jeff Van Gundy is like icing on the cake

I would like the Rockets to be Victorious against Elite teams such as the Heat, OKC, & Pacers before I can picture these guyz in the WCF...

how are the rockets supposed to get past the 2nd round if they dont use a playbook and keep loseing 20pt leads?

by moving mchale to lead assistant, and get phil as head coach

cmon phil, you know wanna coach the rockets. now is your chance.

Yeah basically it was the spacing, defenders would pack the paint, bcuz Asik n D12 aren't really a threat for jumpers, and it would interfere w/ Harden driving to the lane. In my opinion, TT is for defensive purposes, meaning let the guys get a lead, and then us the TT to sustain it.

So he means chance to make it to the Western Conference Finals and not the NBA Finals.

    The Zen Master has spoken.
