The title says it all. No more ClutchCity.net at the office. They've locked me out. I can't even access the main page.

The first time they tried to get smart like that, I Googled the URL and entered through Google's cache of the site. Now they've figured out how to block that door, too!

I'll show them! Down with the Man! Dammit, they won't keep me from my heroin....er....bbs!

Anybody have any ideas as to how I can beat the system??

Can you get through with your own personal account? Last year, I could bypass the whole district filter by using my AOL account.

You could tell the System Admins not to block the site.

    Okay.

    Falcon:
I cannot sign on under any account other than the work account. To my knowledge, at least.

    CndDrr:
I have no idea what you just said. English please? ;)

    Behad:
True, but this is the only job I've got. ...smartass... ;) (was it necessary to add the smiley? I wonder sometimes if what I types reads the way I want it to.)

    SuperMario:
Pretty big company. All the servers go through somewhere in Austin (I'm in Houston). Finding an admin to unblock it isn't an option, unfortunately.

I had to get a AOL disk and load it up on my work computer. Then I used the ISD/LAN hookup and logged on. It's worth a try.

    lynus302,

you should write a program into a chocolate piece of pie that makes it's eater have the sudden urge to be a clutchcity.net fan, therefore giving your access to the site back. :D

kidding. man, that would suck assprin to not be able to post at work. the net admin and i are good friends. it'd never happen.

You're pretty damn funny. Have you been nominated for best new poster yet? Clutch'll send you a "present" in the mail if you win.

My brain just isn't working folks. I've been deprived. All day long. Deprived of the website. All day.

Just ping the url and it should return the ip address.

I noticed when you use only the IP address it auto redirects to the URL with ClutchCity.net in it, which may cause some problems. Try

    http://207.44.140.146/php3/index.php

That might work if only the ip doesn't.

Okay, I'm dumb. What the hell is "pinging the URL"??

    And thanks for the link.

    1. Start
    2. Run
    3. Type command and hit enter.
    4. type in "cd c:\" without quotes
    5. type in "ping http://www.cluthcity.net" without quotes

    i dunno.

If you are one windows 2000/XP do the following

    Start > Run

    type: cmd

When you see the command prompt type: ping bbs.clutchcity.net

It should return you the ip address along with some other info. There are a bunch more robust tools for doing stuff like this, but ping is simple and quick.

Well, once your boss finds out you called him a "b*stard" on the internet, you'll have plenty of time to surf clutchcity.net at home. :D

Okay, I am confused here. Are you at work now or were at work? If you were, how were you able to post these posts in this thread?
