If anything comparing Jordan to today's players makes Jordan look better. With the excessive whining of fouls and the softness of today's game, Jordan's wins while dealing with the rougher league makes him more valuable.
Sorry but your pretty mistaken if you think defenses were better back then. While talent was overall less back then, its weird because the better players back then are at least comparable if not better than today's league (outside of Durant and Lebron, which IMO are having all-time peaks atm), while the average player is much worse.
there difference from then and now is, not position back then was weak and not deep, the 90's was loaded at every position, Jordan would average 35ppg today
The hand check rule was initiated because of how physical guys were in the 80's and early 90's. There was no flopping back then. Jordan played against guys like: John Starks Doc Rivers Joe Dumars Isiah Thomas John Stockton Gary Payton. Vernon Maxwell All these guys would have slaughtered just about anybody in today's NBA except for Kobe and Dyane Wade. And guys like: Clyde Drexler Larry Bird and Magic Johnson, were no slouches. On top of that, driving to the meant that you were sure to get bruised ribs and arms from all the elbows being thrown. And I do remember the Bulls having to go through Detroit to get to the finals. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/ZLMYNxW6Mqs" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I'm not aware of a player whose fans top Kobe's in being irritating. Kobe's got that spot locked just like Jordan has his legend spot locked.
You had me up to here. Out of everyone in the current NBA, you pick injury-prone part-time flopper Dwayne Wade, and overrated Kobe Bryant? What happened to Lebron James?
Lebron James could have played in any era because of his size, but is also small forward. If I wanted to include everyone in the NBA at any position, the list obviously gets larger. Ron Artest and Kevin Garnett are two more guys you would have to include. I listed Dwayne Wade and Kobe Bryant because they were willing to sacrifice there body going inside or driving to the lane. The forward and center positions are naturally going to have bigger guys. The point I am trying to make is that guards in the 80's and early 90's had to be able to play physically, and if not physically, to be strong enough to play against guys that were physical.
he means, 2x all defensive team, 3x allstar, and NBA athelete of the year Dan Majerle.... oh, and clyde the glide..... I know we feed the trolls, but, this guy is asking for glutton, kobe bryant had who to play in his day? so bad lmao
