That was so bad. I couldn't even understand half the answer choices because they used some weird way to explain how something sounds compared to other quizzes of this type I have previously taken. It said Irving though, which I guess isn't that far off from Houston. So whatever.
I didn't even realize there were multiple ways of saying this. Who says CRAYON with one syllable rhyming with MAN? That's gotta be some backwater, hillbilly stuff. I knew it would get mine right after the "Feeder" question. Houston is the only place that happens.
<br> This is an example of how this was really poorly put together. I think they were trying to point out people who say crayon as "cran" like cranberry.
Wow. They nailed it. Houston, Miami.... and Long Beach?! But Houston was the hottest location so they were right. http://nyti.ms/1eIsAd6
Yeah there is a pool of more than 25 questions; though, a majority of them stay the same. For example, when I took this months ago (back when it was cool, duh), it gave me Irving and Dallas, at which point, I threw my computer out the window... and then defenestrated myself too for good measure. Then I took it again and got the feeder question, which put me back in Houston where I belong. I blame all the DFW hits we're all getting on the question about "blow-off" courses--the heat map is really concentrated in that area for that answer. Apparently, they really like that term up there?
It nailed it. Houston, San Antonio, and Laredo. "Feeder" gave me away apparently. I wouldn't belong in Grand Rapids, Toldeo, and Akron. Well, I'm glad!
Yea feeder seems to be the distinction, got Houston and San Jose/Fremont. Some of them i did not know there were words for it like the strip of grass.
Pretty damn good... I was born in London, which has a small influence on the way I pronounce things. Lived in Southern California till a few years ago. Now in the Bay Area. It predicted Los Angeles, San Jose and Honolulu for me. 2/3.
They get you with the word feeder road. Nobody outside of Houston really uses that term and they have no idea what you are talking about.
Kind of a lame test honestly if 24 of the 25 questions are useless. If not for the feeder question it would have had me in Dallas. Might as well have had me in Oklahoma City!
Irving, Houston and Baton Rouge. I was born in Irving and grew up in Houston. Also have a close relative that lived in Baton Rouge for a long time. hmmmmmmm
