Some additional notes from the article:

The guy least likely to pass to the screener is James Harden (27.2 percent). So when they come off pick-and-rolls, Curry is twice as likely to pass to the screener than Harden is. After Harden comes Carmelo Anthony (27.4 percent), James (28.0 percent), Jrue Holiday (29.0 percent) and Tyreke Evans (30.3 percent).

Also, the PNRs we run from the high post gives us nearly 1.31 points per possession.

Howard can't shoot, so Dragic would still prefer Frye. Dragic/Love would be a better comparison.

    ...

    So let's get both! :)

To be clear, these percentages are the percentage of passes that go to the screener, not the percentage of time the ball handler passes the ball.

So Screens per 100 possession at 44.2, Rockets ranked 27 in the league. ===> Rocket don't set screens.

wow. with the type of offense we run you'd think it would be much higher but guess people are right - we really don't utilize screens all the much. wonder why that is?

Wonder what that % was last year. Asik was setting screens all over the place. Dwight too busy posting up to set screens.

    A few thoughts:

Screens historically are not used in a post offense. There is a single point of attack, both the offense and defense understands it. The post offense basically states that there is an obvious mismatch on the court, and it will be exploited.

Versions of the R&R use screens, but point of attack dribble drives many times do not. With Harden, and to a lesser extent Lin, spacing is the most critical issue. If defenders are flying around screens spacing becomes muddled.

P&R uses screens at a high frequency. Dwight prefers post up. When the Rockets start dishing out the P&R they can have 3 or more screens on a single possession.
