Ok, apart from last night what are you complaining about? He has been huge in almost 90% of the games this year.

I don't know what you are getting at , but w.e...

Have you not been watching games this season?

You really need to look at the broader picture. Parsons has had a couple of bad games lately (had the flu last night, BTW), but his numbers for the year don't lie. And yes — "glue guy" is an appropriate descriptor for him. In the absence of true point guard play, the offense relies on Parsons more than on a typical 3. I'm not an apologist for his subpar play of late, but let's be real here.

Crap, you're right. I thought that option was still there, but it looks like Denver let it expire. Well so much for Hamilton being here long-term. I don't see Morey giving him an extension if it means jeopardizing his 2015 plans.

I'm focusing on post all star break. That's when the intensity and overall seriousness of the game elevates to another in terms of teams really trying to win. Players generally step it up a notch. What I've seen from Parson's against Gerald Green, Rudy Gay and whatever clipper player Matt Barnes whoever I haven't been impressed. We have 20 something games left and he looks to be faltering to a point where he may need rest if that's the case I'd rather see that then witnessing these poor performances. I know y'all love the guy but when we go against elite competition I'm worried about this guy not showing up as big as we need him to. If he needs go sit out a game or two then so be it because this team is supposed to have championship aspirations not excuses of why not and what could have been.

Ya, well, it's not really so much a matter of anyone loving the guy as it is objectively evaluating his body of work this season. If you look at any player — Dwight or Harden included — you are going to find certain "down" periods in their performance. Parsons is no exception. Many times this is for reasons we will never know; other times they are simply overworked. As to the latter, the optimist's view of acquiring Hamilton may mean Parsons can get a little more rest. He's currently #5 in minutes played (Harden is #2).

So, if you are implying that Parsons' game could benefit from playing fewer minutes, then your point is well taken. However, your seem to conflate that point with the idea that he's not showing up, or just not getting it done when it counts, or that he's just not all that he's made out to be. It's those points that many here take exception with.

Seeing Parsons as a very valuable contributor to this team is in no way equivalent to being some kind of Chandler fanboy. It's simply a point of view grounded in objective fact.

Great that Hamilton's gotten off to a good start but it seems all of our shooters- Garcia, Casspi, Lin, and even Harden and Parsons (sometimes) seem to be in a real funk shooting the ball.

(continued) And Hamilton is inevitably going to go on one too, but hopefully I'm wrong.

Don't know why I posted that incomplete thought. lol

see this is the kind of reaction post people post after 1 loss, lately Harden has been shooting the ball great

47 percent in February, 42 percent from three, 90 percent from the free throw line, harden has been on fire since the All Star break shooting 49 percent, 45 percent from three and 85 percent from the free throw line

Hamilton has played well so far. He has a sharp game but he doesn't set a tone. Even Casspi is in a funk he is a bigger body and does get rebounds and does get in the mix. The Rockets could of use Casspi against the Clippers even with his mistakes.

Yeah, and it's NOT a flat (azz) shot like Parson's. I hate that flat shot and his pump faking is out of control........

You need to be corrected. Parsons doesn't make up for poor point guard play, he is the best player at moving without the ball. Movement without the ball is what brings the offense together.

Parsons role on this team is big and maybe I'm making it too big on the basis of what I hear from most fans regarding how great he is and how important he is to this team. Some talk of Parsons as if he is on the level of Scottie Pippen I however don't see that now in terms of his overall game especially defensively. That's where I'm coming from when I say he's not all what a lot of fans make him out to be. He could possibly get there I like how he played in the playoffs last year. But... Come to find out post allstar break he's been sick and is trying to play. I don't expect him to be Jordan in the 97 finals but personally I expect Parsons to give something else to the game contribution wise even when his shooting and scoring is off. I know a lot of what he does isn't going to show up on the stat box but from what I was seeing upset me because the guys he had been guarding lately have been going off scoring wise. Not to mention James Harden consistent bad defense for stretches in games. Your right people have off games and our team is young. But like I said I just expect a lot from Parsons contribution wise especially since most superstar players play his position.

Glad Hamilton is panning out well so far in Houston! I knew we were going try to exploit Denver's abundance of wings. I thought Morey was going to do something like Randolph and Mozgov for Asik, but Hamilton is definitely capable of getting the job done too. Always good to have a Texas alum back in the Lone Star State!

Hamilton's athleticism should help us defend star wings in the talent-heavy West. I feel more confident having Hamilton guarding Durant than oppose to Garcia/Cassipi doing the defensive work.

Denver is a run away train. Hamilton is one happy dude right now.
I like the way he plays, makes things happen. His lead passes were solid clothes lines in stride. Smooth, very smooth.
