Lost 3 in a row, Durants performance down, probably won't win MVP now and this all happened when Westbrick came back - yeah, Sactown "it's only 2 games".
The Thunder actually win more when they have WB. How can you possibly argue otherwise? Are you a Creationist 6000 year old earther also? And you know I do not care if it has been discussed before. That discussion was about as ignorant as this one.
They are going to. Westbrook is worlds better than Fisher. Having a Westbrook/Jackson backcourt CRUSHES a Jackson/Fisher one. IMO though Westbrook makes the Thunder better but isn't a great fit. I think if the Thunder could make some sort of move to acquire a different superstar even if he isn't as taleted as Westbrook: Westbrook/Perkins for Love/Brewer type (rid themselves of Perkin's contract, add a big that is WAY better than Perkins) would vastly improve them.
Perhaps. I just do not think OKC is going down that route. They could have amnestied Perkins if the had chosen to.
The problem here is not whether OKC is better off without WB or not. The problem here is WB is making max money, and as a max player you shouldn't even be having this discussion. You don't hear this kind of consistent talk with legit max guys like KD, DH, Harden etc., but with WB it's this perception of his selfishness that's bringing the team down. What excuse can you say to account for WB taking more shots than KD? That'd be like Pat Bev taking more shots than Harden or Howard on our team. There are a lot of guys esp. at the pg spot you can replace with WB and still have money left over. If OKC had spent their max money on guys like Lowry, Landry and someone like Dudley they'd be a much better team, and that's not something you should say with a max player.
It's crazy that people still defend Westbrick, but it's only a matter of time till they realize that while he's a flashy player who will volume shoot his way to 20 points a game, he makes the Thunder worse. His stupid play is a liability just like Josh Smith's is, the main difference being that Josh Smith doesn't pretend to be a PG.
I agree with your points. But the fact that this discussion is promulgated by (unknowledgeable) fans and evidently not a concern to one of the best organizations in the NBA is more than enough to doubt the conversations veracity.
Your opinion is not shared by the brain trust at OKC, one of the best organizations in basketball. You versus the minds behind perhaps the best record in the NBA in recent years. We all need to know our place.
If you can provide actual facts and statistics to back up your arguments I may consider them. Your fan opinion means actually nothing when analyzing one of the best teams in the NBA. What you seem to be saying is that you have a deeper understanding and more knowledge than the OKC FO possesses. Does that sound like hubris to you?
Westbrook puts so much pressure on the team defence, it is ridiculous to think that he hurts the team. Two similar statements: "Wade is a bad fit for the heat. He can't space the court, so Lebron has less room to operate." "Take Dwight out of the game in the 4th, he can't hit FT's! Stop giving him post ups!" Do those two players hurt the team too?
To the Rockets Oddly enough many here proposed trading Asik, Lin, Parsons and a pick for Rondo. Made no sense to me. But that same package for Westbrook? That is an interesting idea.
