ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Clippers 2/26/2014

Clutchfans officially has Lin derangement syndrome. He was one of the most effective players the Rockets had on the floor against the Clippers. He had a positive +/-, got into the lane, made a lot of nice passes (3 or 4 of which were not converted) and kept Collison under wraps (which Harden found difficult to do). In 19 minutes he had more points, more steals and 1 fewer rebound than Beverley. The reason the Rockets lost this game today was in part because of strong interior defense by the Clippers (Big Baby and Barnes really complemented Jordan very well) and poor play by Beverley plus an off night for Parsons. If the Rockets had played Lin 30 minutes instead of 19, you would've seen more productivity out of the first unit, because he blew by people off the dribble repeatedly and was able to find open players for high percentage shots.

 

should have gone to D12 every possession in the 4th....

McHale's rotations are questionable at best.

 

Yup, cuz bev generally plays smart and harden is a star. Lin is a fraud

 

Next time he needs to refuse to play. It hurt us more than he helped out there. Jordan was rollin.

 

Either Bev starts or we trade him... He is never a good option as a bench player... He just has no play-making skills...

 

Come playoff time Harden will be a lot more fresh.

You can tell a scorer is tired when he's not hustling to get the ball when the play is going to him...

Yall were all talking about how his defense has improved so much recently and are going to let one bad game in a stretch of what...weeks...take all of that away?

Dwight really wasn't that big of an upgrade. Asik is actually the better PnR defender, rebounding is similar, Dwight is better offensively by 8ppg but even last season without him Rockets had no problem putting points up.

Clips have a new coach in Doc which is a huge difference. Del Negro always benched DJ, Doc plays him and is developing his defense which is already showing. Blake made a huge leap offensively, he's not a 70% FT shooter, can shoot the jumper as well as the 3 and has an array of post moves. Collison is also a nice punch off the bench.

actually it was DMO with game winning FT's Bev played great that game in fact his best game this year but he still got PWNED 2nite

 

Enjoyed the game for the most part until the crack down during fourth. Our starting unit is way too reliant on Harden and Howard. Harden got swarmed and Dwight just got grappled every time he got the ball close to the net.

Reading this thread, you'd think everybody else played at an elite level tonight and one of these two single-handedly cost us the game. Don't y'all ever get tired of it? Sheesh.

True. That's about as well put as it can be. I have no problem with people having rational concerns like Jones and lin playing scared or like the moment is bigger than them but the irrational posts are what gets to me. Idk maybe I just don't have the patience for the game threads lol.

 

The internet clipper fanbase is bad. One forum is down all the time and the other one is moderated by a delusional bipolar twenty-something who literally debates with himself with alternate accounts. Plus, I don't see what's so wrong about discussing a game involving the rockets in the rocket board. I don't post here otherwise.

I am done with this team. As long as this loser Kevin McHale is our HC we wont win a thing. I have season tickets in section 114 row 4. First person replies back can have them.
