Im just now getting home and I didnt catch it and the website hasnt been updated... who got voted off?
Kimberly Locke is gone. Clay and Ruben will duke it out next week for the Prize. "Now, we finish this. There can be... only one."
ruben is pimp!! ok that clay guy has a badass voice! but there is just something about him....he has gotta be gay or something, or from arkansas, I dont know something is fishy lol no offense to the arkansas people :-D
I can't believe I know this (that's what I get for patying attention to TV). I watched this season for the first time last episode and 2nd time last night. Clay is from Durham, NC. He sang the national anthem for the Durham bulls at a recent home game. I think Ruben will win, be the new Luther Vandross and Clay will end up on Broadway where he will be close enought o hear him, far enough away so that his enormous ears aren't a distraction. What I was shocked by was the overwhelming mediocrity of whole affair, these people aren't that good.
For some reason, I just don't feel as cool as Ruben when I tell people that I am from the "832" or "713".
Ruben shouldn't win because he's fat. Fat people don't deserve anything other than to be on a diet. If it was a white fat person, then it wouldn't be cool. It's just because of that hip hop fat thing that was started by those fat rapping bastids who put on their gold chains and surround themselves with ass-shaking babes(that wouldn't give them the time of day if they weren't in the rap video) where it's now cool to be black, fat, and a rapper/singer. How many white fat artists are there out there making it in the biz? Bring back Vanilla Ice, have him put on a few hundred pounds, and call him Vanilla Ice Cream. Is that cool? Uh huh. I don' t like or watch American Idol. I think it should have been over after the first one. How many more will they have before it becomes old school and so yesterday? Now, it's all about reality TV and idol-related shows. This is what Survivor has done to TV. Aaron Spelling needs to bring back some "real" shows, like 90210 and Melrose Place spin-offs. We are running out of nightly soap opera shows and their being replace by idol/reality shows. In summary, TV is going downhill.
I hope Ruben wins. I used to like Clay but there is something about him that rubs me the wrong way. His songs are lame and he needs to stop looking at the camera the way he does. I've never voted on the show but I will for Ruben, Clay is a cheesedick.
This is how I think about it: Who would you rather hear sing? Forget concerts. Forget appearance. Forget interviews. Forget personality. When you pop a CD into your player, sit back, and listen, all you hear is the voice of the artist. That's all I care about. I'm not going to go to some lame-ass American Idol concert, be it Ruben or Clay. I'm not going to watch interviews with these people. I could care less what their personality is. Clay's a dork who may or may not be homosexual. Ruben is fat and has the personality of a door handle. Plus, when he smiles, he looks constipated. These people do not interest me at all; ONLY THE MUSIC MATTERS. So... using that criteria, Clay is the hands-down winner. His voice is just unbelievable. Ruben is good, too, but Clay is better. So, who's going to win? Judging only by the signs being displayed in the last episode, Clay's got this one in the bag. Personally, I think Clay could be the next Michael Crawford on Broadway and should pursue that avenue. However, I think he's gonna win the competition, so Broadway will just have to wait.
They said that the difference between them was less than 2% and only 4% between 1st and 3rd. To say that Clay has "got this in the bag" is a bit premature.
Look, I was only judging by the amount of Pro-Clay signs and NOTHING else. However, I will say that Clay has NEVER been in the bottom 2 or 3 of any vote in any week. Ruben was in the bottom 2 two weeks ago. Sure, that doesn't mean much, but it IS a fact. As for the 4% difference between the 3 vote-getters, it is entirely possible that Seacrest, the FOX puppet (and the rest of the AI team), lied to America in order to generate interest in the finale. I wouldn't put it past FOX, the network that defines sleaze, to do that. Since we're not privvy to the vote tally (a conspiracy in its own right), FOX can say anything it wants, and no one can call them on it. Would you watch next week if there was already a CLEAR-CUT champ going into the finale? Personally, I think FOX and the judges -- or at least 2 out of the 3 -- want Ruben to win. Once again, I wouldn't put it past FOX to rig the vote. I couldn't care less, though, because I feel Ruben and Clay will both go on to big things.
I love how Seacrest made a big deal about that 4% difference. Well, 4% of 19 million is a pretty big difference. A close race would have been a couple thousand votes... Paula Abdul is officially the hottest 40+ chick in America...she's hotter now that she was at the height of her popularity in the late 80's...
Haha you people aren't good enough to be from the 205! Okay, so it's nothing special. There's actually no way Ruben will lose, cuz when he almost got voted off a couple weeks ago, the local Fox affiliate started this HUGE campaign to "Vote Ruben." The tops tories of the news has been American Idol; the weather man said that his daughter was "devastated" that Ruben was in the bottom two . This guy means more to Alabama since George Walla -- maybe that's not a good example...
Neither one would touch Clarkson. Clay has a nice voice, but I've heard he's an ass, with that false modesty stuff on camera. At least we know looks haven't been a determining factor. Wasn't Clay voted off but won a sing off or something? I do like his voice.
Surfguy-- They're both good. Clay will win, because America seems to love ugly white dorks. If Clay weighed 3000 lbs, the teenage suburban girls would still vote a hundred times.
Clay shouldn't win because he's skinny. Clay is gay! Really... Well I do agree. TV is going downhill. But there are still some good shows out there...
