LOH, calling my argument 'delusional' and label me as 'troll' does negate my points. There are more enough statistic to prove Lin should have a larger role on this team than Beverly. Saying Lin 'had horrible game' when he had better game than Beverly just make you desperate.
Actually, that is a great argument. Secondly, Beverley rarely has a poorly played game. The difference between Beverley and Lin is if Beverley isn't shooting well, he finds other ways to contribute. Whether it be assists, great D, rebounds, so on. Bev also has that no back down attitude when Lin is just a big p***y. If someone throws him down he starts crying whereas Beverley will make you aware he is mad. Lin just sucks for the most part. If he is playing great (which has become a rarity lately) then all is good. When he isn't, he causes the entire team to have problems. Forcing bad passes, horrible defensive rotation, getting blown by on defense, missing point blank lay ups, etc. This is why you are getting pwned in this thread. Your lack of Bball IQ is your biggest enemy and you if you have been watching games all year, you would see how terrible Lin's body composure is in these last games since the All Star Break. It is atrocious.
Remember, Lin has this "ridiculous" contract (Carmelo Anthony's words) only because Daryl Morey wanted him so bad, Morey was willing to overpay Lin... To a level where his existing team in the NY Knicks, where he was immensely popular, wasn't even willing to match the offer.... So even though we agree Lin is getting grossly overpaid in his current contract, it is Morey, not Lin, who is responsible for that.
Every fan of every team will get upset at the player if they do not perform up to expectation of their contract. This isn't something unique to Lin.
In all seriousness, Lin needs to get his **** together and stop playing like a d-league scrub on a 10 day contract. We need someone to score and make plays off the bench.
Oh please, use stat to back up your argument, use ' never back down' to describe Bev and 'p***y' to describe Lin only make you look like a desperate troll. Let's look at games where Bev shot horribly In back to back games vs Memphis, he shot combine 4-22 and committed 9 fouls, Conley shot 12-24 in these games. He shot 1-10 a 1 point loss to the lakers while committing 5 fouls. I can find a few more examples but I am not going to waste my time on an obvious argument.
We are Rocket Fan's, eyes don't lie. Watch Jlin on D, he gets beat for penetration consistently and doesn't act like he cares. He's always searching for help on the defensive end. Sampson played him sparingly when McHale was out. Jlin is an unwilling defender, where Beverely actually cares about his man getting around him or scoring on him. There is no video, movie, or pictures that could convince me after watching 57 games thus far this season. Also, it's a simple equation, if Bev = Jlin when you add up everything (scoring, rebounding, assists, turnovers, and defense) then Bev > Jlin by 10 times due to the money each makes. I don't think anyone would be in uproar if he and Bev were making the same amount based on contributions. There is nothing that Jlin does that is 10x what Bev gives us.
Where were you wen Bev shot 6-31 and committed 14 fouls during a 3 game stretch? Try to find a stretch this season Lin has played worse. (there isn't)
I'm confused with your BBall IQ. So you're saying he's not playing to his standard all year, since the all star break. Therefore this slump is his norm?
haha. beverley has bad games just like everybody has bad games. he is human afterall. lin seems to be regressing and getting fewer meaningful minutes. i have no idea why morey didn't just trade lin when he had the chance.
Man... stop using FG% as the only stat to base your argument. There are so many more variables BEVERLEY (please start spelling his name right) brings to the table than Lin does. It is clear as day.
Totally disagree here... For how awful Lin has been offensively over the last five games, his defense has been his saving grace... To the point where the men Lin was guarding (save for Dragic) played even worse offensively than he has.
This doesn't even make sense but okay. His standards would be getting hurt come the playoffs if you want to talk about it like that.
Isn't your opinion based on what you saw in games by definition "subjective" and "not objective." Or is there some part of the English language I'm missing here? But I will grant you that your subjective view may be given more weight than his. For example, I would put more weight on the opinion of a GM like Morey or a comentator like JVG. But suffice to say no one poster's opinion on this board is worth anywhere near that level. Yes. Is there anything wrong with demanding more production for people with more salary? Do you think Dwight Howard should be held to the same standard as Greg Smith? Or Harden be held to the same standard as Garcia? Or for that matter. If you have the same production at your job as another guy who makes 10x as much as you, do you really find nothing wrong with that?
Did u see the game, Isiah Thomas and Ben MacLemore started hitting shots as soon as Jlin enter the game. Any team's competent game plan is go at Jlin on the offensive end. The lead went from 31 to 20 in a couple of possessions. Dare to pole NBA players and ask them which one do they think is better.
I wonder if Lin shares the same lack of self-awareness of LOFs, because he seems to not be able to mentally readjust to the needs of the situation. Moreover, he seems to have alienated himself from his teammates in part due to socially r****ded comments like: "that he was brought in to change Houston basketball" during the summer (IDK the exact words, but I think everyone remembers that one.) "that was not classy" about Beverley's supposed staredown dunk Comments like that, especially the first, are certain to get under the skin of others, even if they like you. Not to mention the LOFs avalanching on the twitters and such of players and relevant staff. So now that he's down, it's like, he's done in the locker room, too.
