I love yowapeda too... Almost more than kuroko at this point... Close but kuroko still wins ace of diamond is pretty good too And I loved how Manaka woke up! Scolding him was perfect.
For me. 1. Yowapeda 2. Ace of diamond 3. Kuroko Manaka has such a sweet innocent voice. I still wish they kissed sleeping beauty style.
How about that kill la kill. What a turn of events. I don't want to say it, but I might like it more than Gurren Lagann and I have Gurren Lagann in my top 5.
I love Gurren Lagann and Kill La Kill passed it up a while ago for me. This show is just incredible and unbelievably delivers week after week. Haven't been this into an animated show since the original 60 episode run of Avatar: The Last Airbender. Trigger killed it with this one.
Kill la Kill is impressive...but that doesn't mean I think it's good. There's quite a few flaws I find with the show, and this week really emphasized them ( for example, Ryuuko is really a terrible protagonist)
Honest question, what makes you think ryuko is a bad protagonist? You think she should have had satsuki's role? I personally love how they've gone about ryuko's character. Things keep happening that changes the outlook of her life and others. I mean not even mako could snap her out of it. She was easily manipulated from the constant lies she was led to believe. Think it's great that once she was controlled satsuki and senketsu were the ones to liberate her from ragyos controlm
Man, I don't even know who raku made his promise to anymore. Kirisakis diary matches up with rakus memories and onodera believes it's him and they've both got keys. hayesfan, how far have they gotten in the Manga in terms of who it is? I really want to spoil myself, but I don't want to at the same time. Love this show as much as I loved world God only knows.
I'm only about three chapters behind in the manga and they still haven't revealed it. So the anime will have to take an incomplete when it comes to that. I am pretty sure I know where in the manga storyline they will stop it and it's likely to throw even more doubt into your mind of who it is but regardless you won't know who the promise was to during this season.
Dang it, so it'll be a show that will end without closure.... How often do they release new Manga content? Hope it's not one of those animes that you have to wait 2+ years for material or ones that make up an ending. I am currently with team onodera, but tsumugi is quickly turning me to her side. Btw, How do you feel about the show? You haven't talked about it much and I remember you said you liked the Manga. Do you think the anime does a better/worse job?
I like it so far... I'm fully team Chitoge and have been since I read the one shot that led to the series. It's serialized in Shuukan Shounen Jump so weekly? I think. Right now it doesn't look like it's going to end any time soon. Though if the anime ends where I think it will be a cliffhanger-esque. Right now it's following the manga pretty closely... So there isn't a whole lot of difference... The sparklies are fun and the graphics are very much like the manga so it's basically seeing the manga in action.
Spoilers here: Ryuko's problem to me is that I never feel like she acts to anything. She reacts to everything, but she's not proactive, if you get what I mean. This latest episode was kind of more of the same - it was fun, and visceral ( and holy mother of God that scene at the beginning was horrifying), but nothing happened that we haven't seen before. Ryuuko goes nuts, Mako snaps her out of it. It's what we saw with Nui - who's also disappointed me of late after that BRILLIANT moment with the disguise, not to mention her intro. If I could sum up my thoughts? I love Satsuki to death, and really view her as the protagonist. I don't care much for Ryuko, I really don't give a damn about Ragyou, and Nui to me is the epitome of "This is why you don't give the Joker a backstory." Saying that I don't think Kill la Kill is good is perhaps a bit harsh - but I definitely think TTGL is far better, and I doubt I'll think about this anime in three years.
My Anime thoughts of the week... Nagi - Manaka lost WHAT!!!! ARGH! It hurts my shipper heart to watch this show sometimes but I love how visual it is, even with saltflake snow everywhere. Yowapeda - How adorable was Onoda at the starting line of the race and how freaking disgusting was what Midousuji told Imaizumi to beat him in the last race. UGH! Still loving every minute of this one.. including the little tags at the end. I better get to hear Onoda either singing Princess Hina or whatever it's called or hearing it in his head during the interhigh Ace of Diamond - WHAT he's going to pitch! I didn't figure that would happen in their first game. I'm excited to see where they take that. Kuroko - loved seeing the strategy come out to beat the defense of the Yosen giants... though I'm bummed that Kuroko is on the bench. I have a feeling there is one more trick up his sleeve to help them win this one. I'm tempted to read the manga to see how everything turns out, but I want to wait until the season ends before I do it. That's all I watched this week. My new job is taking up too much of my asian television time! Edit: just watched Love Chuunibyo etc - the love triangle commences... and I'm sort of bummed about it. I like the slow progress that Rikka and Yuta are taking and the introduction of the triangle is going to change that. But I did like the story line this week.
I can agree with this. Ryuko isn't the prototypical protagonist. I feel like she's to satsuki as Simon was to kamina. She never had any goals, but to avenge her father. Everything that has happened so far she was pretty much out of the loop on. Satsuki was the one with the master plan because she knew what ragyo had planned, but ryuko went with whatever was going on because she only had one goal. Her goal changed when when nudist beach told her half the truth, but it still wasn't enough for her to know exactly the right thing to do. Lol, I'm just Rambling. Hard to organize my thoughts since there is just so much to it. What's going to set these two shows (kill LA kill/Gurren Lagann) apart is the ending in deciding which will end up on top. The blank look in her eyes tore my heart. No one can get what they want in this show and now that manaka is without her Ena AND love, then Hikari most likely never returning miunas love, I feel like miuna is going to do something tragic by the end of this for Hikari x manaka to happen. Not looking forward to that. Can't wait for the inter high to start. I want Onoda x kanzaki to happen so much. Wonder how the teamwork will work during the race. Sawamura better show up this game after the impressive showing furuya had. I want to see the opponent and crowd shocked. Don't know how they'll stop musakibara (think that's his name) in the paint, don't think he'll need to jump to dunk, high school version of Yao ming. I know they stop kuroko and Tatsuyas shots this game, but I wonder if kagami will go into unstoppable mode. If he does, who will stop him? HxH on pace as usual, I'm actually enjoying youpi fighting. It will make the king and pitou fights that much sweeter. Don't care much for pouf. Haven't kept up with Hajime no ippo and log horizon since episode 18.need to get back on them.
So I'm behind on current episodes again, but I was looking at the list of spring anime since we are getting close to the end of the winter run. Here's where I was looking http://anichart.net/spring My list of what I'd like to watch: Fairy Tail (of course) Isshuukan Friends Kinoro no Corda: Blue Sky Mangaka-san to Assistant-san to Haikyuu!! Gokukoku no Brynhildr Most of them are manga I have read or am reading Anyone else looking at the upcoming season?
Nooooodista beeeechuu  <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/9k3QySd3AjI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> I'm trying not read the details but it seems kill la kill got really damn good after I left off. The edginess just feels awkward now that I'm not in college anymore, I can't watch more than 5 min without turning it off. I know its a good show and all so hopefully I'll muster up the will to watch a couple of episodes.
Anybody watched Toriko before? Been binging on it lately just because I wanted something new and I'm a fatty who loves food.
Date a live 2 definitely Mahouka and Selector infected because either like the studio that makes them Fairy tail when I manage to watch the entire series. Might watch those you listed also since you and I seem to have the same taste when it comes to romance anime. Have it queued on CR, but haven't actually watched it yet. LPH, get on kill la kill now! Home stretch, just about done, looking to end the same way as Gurren lagann
Haiyuuki is a volleyball one... That one I am really looking forward too as I haven't had a sports anime that I didn't enjoy yet. I downloaded the manga but haven't read it yet.
Late to the party for sure, but Attack on Titan was really quite good. Hopefully the manga progresses to the point where a second season can be done soon. Best part is that it's on Netflix, despite Funimation not even completing a dubbing yet.
