I'm right there with you. I swore off throw-up rides when I was ten. Now I watch other people do the throwing up!

 

It appears I have until June 3 to live.

But if I survive the encounter, I'll let y'all know if it's as scary as it looks.

I didn't mean in terms of throwing up. Free falls are always painful on my stomach when I'm going down.

I never rode on them when I was really young. But when I was around 16 or 17 I was embarrassed to be sitting on a bench while little kindergarten students would run up to the ride all excited. So I overcame it. I still ride them now, but they will always scare the crap out of me!

 

I was watching a special about roller coasters on a Chicago news program the other night, and they showed this. I made a comment about how cool it looks, and my Mom just had to bring up the first time we ever went to Astroworld and she had to drag me kicking and screaming onto Excalibur.

i don't live in houston anymore, but i used to a couple of years ago. lived there 21 out of the 24 years of my life. i remember going to astroworld all the time with season passes and stuff. actually, my first job was there.

my question for a roller coaster like that... well... the texas cyclone used to get stuck all the time... so,... what happens when you get stuck on the top of something like that? ... i mean... do you really expect people to climb down those ladders? geez, that would suck big time.
