Funniest thing I saw in High school was a dude I knew who got a NEGATIVE grade on his critical review paper! He made so many grammatical errors, and the teacher deducted a point or two per error, so he ended up in the red. Nothing like knowing you could've NOT done an assignment and received a better grade....
Thats the problem i might not pass, Math is my weakest subject and science has always been like a medicore subject (c's) for me so with combined with math i am not doing to hot in there and usually pass with a D and my parents are fine with it because they know i am not very good with math and that combined with science will be tough, i hope i dont fail dont wanna be stuck taking this class again.
damn dont know what happened there, just ignore this message BTW mulder wont argue with you again, you prob do know more than me, i mean you work at a university.
Not looking to out smart my chem teacher, i just dont like some of his teaching ways, i mean have hated him ever since the first day.
If you really want to get better at math and science, try taking a remedial class at the local community college. They have tutors to help you. They are geared toward helping people pass, not trying to make them fail. You may be surprised what you can learn.
Yeah, u should take pasox2's advice. I took a remedial math class last semester at a community college and it helps you out big time. Go for a smaller class so you can concentrate more!!
I never really had a class where I had to bust my balls big time to do as well as I wanted to until this past semester. Anyways, it was Biology 1400, which is gen ed biology, should be easy enough for someone with decent intelligence, right? Wrong! I had this old professor who treated the class like everyone was majoring in biology and aspiring to be a brain surgeon. We learned so much junk in that class it was amazing...I sat with 3 other people, and their grades were D, D, and F!! My personal philosophy for b****ing about how hard a class is or about a teacher is that I have to make an A before I can b****. Well, luckily, by the skin of my teeth (and the fact that the prof liked me) I made an A and held on to my 4.0. Seriously though, this professor was tough as hell, he didnt give reviews or anything like that. Maybe its something with science teachers...I know this post is off topic, but just try your hardest and maybe the professor will help you out when its time to mark down a grade.
Since when can you drop a High School Course. I seriously did not think that was an option Rocket River
Nah don't let my fancy job that don't pay **** scare ya Sorry if I was a little harsh on ya. No hard feelin's? Bottom line is that High School doesn't mean an F-in thing. As long as you get out. I was a total waste of space in High School because I was so bored that I didn't bother to show up half the time and my grades sucked because of it. I seriously had a "guidance" counselor tell me to my face "You will NEVER go to college, look into UTI or ITT tech now..." I gave the ever popular, very clever retort of "f*ck you" and set out to prove her wrong. I knew I was going to college. I was in fourth quarter though. But I got a high enough SAT score (first try) to get into a 4 year University, promptly took the acceptance letter to school and shoved in that b!tches face and said in a very calm voice "you might want to look up the definition of NEVER." Hang in there kid, don't let a dusty ol' Chem teacher get you down, they are still pissed off that they never got laid in College. he he he
Flyer, That sounds alot like a teacher in my school who thinks way too highly of himself...but there's several of those in every school I'm sure. Anyways, I'm in Chem too and doing the same nonsense with the stoicheometry and molar masses. Email me or IM me on AOL if you'd ever like some help. I'll do my best.
