I would kindly request from posting about Lin in a PB and Asik thread...

Bev from Chicago...those kids are tough as nails...that idiot has no clue what he messing with. For Bev, who played in more international scenes and had worse things said and thrown at, Bev really didnt need to respond. Glad Asik stepped up and helped him focus about the game. Cant lose your cool over a nobody...bc this team really needs PBev toughness.

A big 7 footer with Dennis Rodman sensors for the rebound positioning and defensive play always will get big money one way or another. Damn the size discrimination.

You have no idea how Oakland dudes are like then... I bet that fan said something disrespectful in a black way... Californian African Americans I think are still backwards in that regard as a whole sometimes cuz they isolated and all alone from the rest of the African American community from other parts of the country.

I like how T Jones is completely unfazed and ignores the whole thing, even when Beverly grabs him when trying to get to the fan.

D Mo looks very scared and uncomfortable

It's gonna take more than this little incident to make me buy back into Asik. I was a big Asik fan after his vast improvement and development last year with regards to his skill, but the handling of his situation this year has been a disappointing display of his character.

smh at the people who don't think Asik is going to get paid.

Doesn't matter which way you cut it he's an elite defensive center, fantastic PnR defender for a person his size and he just clogs up the lane very well. Yes he's far from magnet hands but if he was even an average finisher he'd be a top 5-6 center perhaps

Well said, I don't know why anybody would argue with that.

Asik may not play any big role in the reg season, but mark my words - he will be a signifcant piece when it comes to playoffs time. Legit backup 5 when Howard in foul trouble or when teams decide to hack a howard and his free throw isnt going. Plus no lost in defense in the paint while howard is on the bench. 48 mins of rim protection.

I think it's appropriate for someone to encourage avoiding a confrontation, particularly in this context. Of course, Asik does seem engaged in general nowadays, which is good, and is actually playing, which is very good, if not amazing, considering the long span before.

His manual head turn on Bev was pretty funny.

Seriously? That's why you like Asik? I could think of 50 other reasons.

When our season ended last year, I harbored great respect for Omer and of course i didn't believe anything that Espn reported. But not anymore ... I won't forget what he did for us last year and i am grateful to him for these moments but he lost my respect the moment he denied to play(against Philly and then Knicks if i am not mistaken).

The idea of him faking an injury could come from the Rockets not wanting to advertise how injured he was in order to trade him. Teams in the NBA are much less scared of pouting drama queens than injured 7 footers.

Injured 7 footers with 20 million left on their deal will get you fired.
