That is just plain wrong. Oden was unbelievably scary, and the stats back that up.

I'm surprised Clippers are pushing to get him.

At least TRY to get him. We should be front runners mentioned by every source in the nba. Getting Granger could be our legitimate chance in winning a championship

seriously, this would be classic low risk - high reward.

Even in his current condition, Granger would be a better defensive option at the 4 or backup 3 than anything we currently have. Besides that, the dude has a chip on his shoulder, is a vet so team chemistry will be maintained and will be looking to prove himself worthy of a new contract.

    Can't lose

Why would we care when Jordan Hamilton is about to show the world he's on Granger's level?

i don't see how he can be effective on defense at the 4 spot. at the height of his athleticism pre-injury, he was a very good perimeter defender and excellent help defender as well. He had that rare combination of 3point range plus around 1.5 blocks and 1.5 steals. But not at the 4 spot, he has never shown he had the strength to defend the post and he will be eaten alive by the Western conference PFs

    Question:

What is the 'resigning' scenario beyond this year with Granger (with regard to cap hit)

    a) if we pick him up from waivers

    b) if we signed him to the room exception (or vet minimum - I'm assuming those are the same)

Not, as in, 'can we resign him', or 'would he resign' - but what is the cap effect?

Harden can guard the 4s, Granger just needs to spot up and drain that corner 3.

There is something terribly wrong in the NBA when a team will trade away a bright young star, then immediately buy out the player he was traded for.

Guys forget it. Houston hasn't been in the story yet. I keep looking for the Rockets name to be mentioned. We heard about Villanueva before he even knew he wanted to come here..

Granger would be nice, but do you think a guy like Marvin Williams get waived? This is his contract year and the Jazz are clearly going nowhere. Doesn't really make sense to continue having him there.

Evan Turner is not "a bright young star".

Can't tell if joking or just clueless.

Scary, how? Scary, as in you never know when his knee will spontaneously combust?? They guy has never averaged 24 mpg in any season because of how fragile he is. You cannot show me a single stat of his over the course of a season that could be considered 'scary'.

    Sorry so off topic.

He'll play about as much as Bynum will in the postseason.
