I still want teddy and truth be told clowney won't be in position for straight line sprints in game situations often, BUT you have to be kidding yourself if you don't think this is impressive. Imagine him on kickoff team..

The 40 time was awesome but he also jumped higher and farther than JJ Watt showing that he has ridiculous explosive power in his legs. His instant acceleration is more important than his top end speed so I think his 1.56 second 10 yard split was even more impressive.

LOL they dont win the superbowl with TJ, thats crazy.

Hes just emphasizing the importance of a QB. Just look at us, even with JJ Watt as good as he is and he played great this season, we still only won 2 games. Teams can and have won superbowls without a once in a lifetime type DE.

With that said, I wouldnt be upset if we drafted Clowney. Just still need to solve the QB problem

LOL, even more reaching. It wasn't some random running the fastest 40, it's hands down the most talented D line/OLB prospect in years running the fastest 40 time while jumping higher and farther than Watt did.

If they were in the Super Bowl against the Broncos with Tavaris Jackson and the D played as well as they did, the Seahawks easily still win. I do agree that we need to draft a QB, I just suggest getting one in the second because there isn't any QB worth the overall first pick.

You win football games from effort. Not combine numbers. I don't think you understand that.

We have the luxury of having those two guys. If there's two guys in the NFL to push any unmotivated defender on the Texans, it'll be them if it comes to that.

I don't see your point....who doesn't put forth effort? Are you trying to pimp out that tired and debunked trope again?

Who is this Larry Webster guy? he ran a 4.58. 36.5 Vert listed as a DE. Played BBall could turn out to be a TE prospect.

Your boy had 3 sacks all year! All year! That's a character issue. Half the guys he played against wont be playing Sundays. His coach just came out and basically said he doesn't work hard enough.

Why are you always arguing with multiple people? Coincidence? You get off by being devils advocate. Gotcha.

LOL, oh back to the counting stats again? Why did JJ Watt fall off so much last year? He had half as many sacks and less than half as many passes defended, I guess that's a character issue right? Stop it with the shallow, lazy analysis. If you look at what actually was happening, you wouldn't keep pointing to sack count.

We want Clowney to blow up. It puts another possibility for a trade down into the mix. A lot of GM's could justify a blockbuster trade with their fan base to jump up and get him.

Everyone is talking about Clowney as only a pass rusher. I think, defensively, we need a run stopper more than a pass rusher. Our pass defense was decent last year, even when we were outschemed constantly. Our rushing defense was horrid, especially once Cushing went down.

Clowney seems to be alright at run stopping, but I want to be assured that he's going to be an excellent run defender. The pass rush would be a nice add in, but this team was lacking run stopping ability last year. Scheme should make us a bit better, but it's not all about the pass rush, either.

I'm excited for whoever we draft, but our need at qb far outweighs anything on defense. I really hope someone trades up for Clowney or Johnny and we can still pick up Bridgewater or Bortles, and then add a player like Aaron Donald later in the round. Then, you take BPA after that. There's a ton of talent to be found this year, depth wise. It's a great draft to be picking first in each round.

This if the Texans are leaning to get Clowney, I am sure more GMs would be likely to ask the Texans for the #1 pick. There is no demand for the Texans #1 pick primarily because everyone has stated that the #1 need for the Texans is a QB.

Clowney was even better stopping the run than rushing the passer actually. There's a reason that other teams almost always ran the other way.

If you love him and you aren't picking at #2, you better come up and get him. Because someone will trade with St.Louis for him.

Besides, with no consensus at QB and the fact that we have to knock Luck on his ass, we might take him.

John McClain to the Rumorcoper stat!

Stop with this "tired and debunked trope again". Oh wait, I don't see where this was debunked. You should just know he can call Manziel talentless and undraftable, which is idiotic, but you can't question his boy about anything. He is the greatest athelete to ever play.
