Beverley came through in the clutch with a key rebound, a key steal on Dragic, clutch freethrows and a kiss of death 3 pointer to seal the deal. But the downfall for the Suns was when Parsons stole a pass and got tripped up resulting in a clear path technical/foul. Oh and Dmo played some solid D and hit 2 clutch freethrows as well.
Live by the 3 and die by the 3, Dragic was unstoppable in the 2nd QT and Green was hot in the 3rd, they both cooled down in the 4th and that's when the Rox got the lead back.
Rockets stiffened up the D late and Bev nailed a 3 down the stretch on a kick out from Harden. Lin then made what was likely the best defensive play of the year to stop Dragic from hitting a last second 3.
Jordan Hamilton deserves a shot at taking Casspi's minutes and I hope to see what Troy can do too... too many overrated foriegners coming off the bench for rockets. We need guys with the spirit that our bench players in 94 and 95. Stats and percentages don't really measure that on the championship level. Beverley shows all the time that he has the toughness and the championship spirit. Casspi in my opinion doesn't fit that creed. Lin could fit it if he would just play confident but he has been playing too feminine lately. To win the championship we need the right spirited players off the bench as well as the talent and skill.
Lolwut. And I don't know what your deal is with foreigners. McHale seems like he's willing to play anyone, but once he starts using a guy in the rotation it takes a lot for him to take him out of the rotation. At this point, Hamilton doesn't "deserve" anything. It's not like he was brought in as the final piece to a championship team. He's just a young player who was brought in because of the low risk and relatively high reward he might bring. He'll likely have to prove himself in practice first, and wait until the situation arises where he gets some PT. And when it happens he better play well. If he does, I could see him making the rotation.
The Lin bashing on this thread is rediculous. He played solid defense and dished out 6 assists, and some key rebounds in 20 minutes. He didn't make any stupid turn overs. Overall, I thought Jeremy had a solid game which contributed to the win giving limited minutes.
He made a couple stupid turnovers but I still think people are overreacting to some anemic play. Lin still did some good things. Beverley just played better. It's gonna happen again, as will the opposite in future games.
I cant wait for the day lin is off this team..Every game thread is lin bashing vs lin fan boys... annoying.
He dribbled and then picked up the ball in the middle of the defense, as a point guard this is absolutely the worst thing you can do

Still, it doesn't't change the fact he had a solid game. He contributed to the win in limited minutes and that's all it matter. Look at the bigger picture. Harden had an awful shooting, night but he is the most impact player on the win. Clutch fans need to stop whining about everything. Just enjoy the win.
I agree ... Harden didn't have an awful shooting night ... he shot 40% from the field ... below his average and not good enough for him but i don't think it was awful.
My favorite one the Lin fans say is that rockets fans who remember Lowry and dragic are "long time " rockets fans! Hahahahahaha
