Lin always makes those passes to no one or to the other team mate. I'm like come on Lin we need to take care of the ball and not just try risky passes.

And for the threat of course the watch has been off for a while.

Specially when he hesitates to shoot or just stops in the middle of the paint w no clue what to do.

This post shows how clueless it is to look at 3 year-old game logs without actually watching games. In Harden's 2nd year, it was obvious he was very talented and had a big upside. Some people (like me) thought it was possible he could be better than Ginobilli. Nobody sane would ever say that about Jeremy Lin.

Also consider Lin is a year older than Harden and you are comparing a 21 year-old Harden to a 25 year-old Lin who won't ever be much better than he is now.

The insanity associated with many Lin fans will never die. Just wow.

I'm pissed because Morey essentially chose Lin over Dragic. Do you know how good we'd be right now if we still had Dragic?? And his salary is basically the same as Lin's

I doubt it. Dragic doesn't have scoring powerhouses like Harden and Howard to compete with in his team. There's no way to know how he would play in Houston (now).

3 year contract vs 3 years plus player option.

    It wasn't Lin vs Dragic.

It was who was gonna take a 3 year deal.

How good would the team be with Dragic? Tell us.

Is this team not good enough at the moment?

Would you rather support a team like the Suns? Nobody stopping you.

Would you blame Lin if the Rockets don't win the Championship this year?

You don't have to be pissed, you can do something about it.

The Rockets WERE a team like the Sun's post Yao... although I definitely feel Dragic has kicked it up a gear.

Yeah Morey chose Lin over Dragic, that's why he offered a contract to Dragic first, which Dragic rejected. Morey chose the best point guard he could find that was willing to come off the books before the 2015 free agency, which, considering we didn't have Harden or Howard then, was a great move.

Present Morey spends a lot of time creating flexibility and opportunity for future Morey. You may dislike the fact that we don't have Dragic right now, but that move didn't happen in a vacuum. If our GM didn't take such risks, we wouldn't have Harden and Howard.

    Yeah, it's the coach's fault.

    LOL
Lin fans will fight you to the death behind his layups.

History says Dragic's efficiency would increase with better scorers around him while his ppg decreases. History also says Dragic's defense is much better than Lin's. It's VERY logical to conclude the Rockets would be better with Goran. Anyone who argues otherwise is either biased or ignorant.

Erm...do you even watch basketball? Did you watch the Rockets at all before 2013 or did you just come here to hate on Lin?

There have been lots of great NBA PGs who did not really blossom until their late 20s. Two of them recently played for Houston. You have to wait 4-5 years before you can play the "he's not getting any better" card.

Morey chose Lin to sell seats and keep the Chinese market.

He thought the Rockets were going to rebuild, and Lin would at least sell tickets while the team struggled, then Harden became available, and it all changed.

Dragic could have been kept, but he wanted a fourth year player option, and Morey thought they needed flexibility in that year and Dragic would have kept the team around the dreaded 14th pick, so he let him go.

Sound thinking all around, but dang Dragic is good.

    Interesting

Name all these great late-blooming PGs...... matter of fact, any position. (Lowry is n/a.... he started "blossoming" at age 24)

Lin was NEVER ever going to crack any of the 3 categories, let alone all 3 of them. Such a ridiculous thread.

    - Missed air ball layups are not going to help him get 50% FG
    - Foot on the line 3's are not going to help him get 40% 3's
    - Bricked free throws will not get him 90% FT's

Fact that someone thought Lin was in the running for this is preposterous. It's mainly elite players (shooters) who get into this club and Lin is far from elite.

This was a jinx thread that shouldn't have been started about ANY Rockets player. The fact that it's about Jeremy Lin makes it a complete **** show.

This thread was originally started around the beginning of the year before Lin sat out a number due to injuries i.e. back. Ever since then, he's been pretty crappy. Being a backup player, plus now being like the 4th/5th scoring option has really regressed him.

Now sure how he can fix it except to become very selfish scoring-wise. But I don't think that's in his makeup.
