Agreed. The only thing Lin didn't do well tonight is hit his shots. 6 assists and 3 rebounds in 20 minutes is very good. If he had hit 2 or 3 more shots, he would have had a very efficient game. Beverley deserves a lot of credit for making some big plays in the last 5 minutes but up until that point he had been torched by Dragic. I think Dragic got tired based on how he played.

one player can get owned and the team still win. Bev scored and got a steal when we needed it but Dragic still owned him

Well to put things in perspective, his daugher died recently. And now he has to go back to his daily life routine of helping people throw balls into hoops as effectively as possible. Well, maybe he is COMPLETELY DEPRESSED at the moment. Ever think of that?

Actually Lin didn't do that bad tonight. He missed some easy shots and contested ones. But his shots lead to putbacks. He got 6 assists. The TEAM actually played better during the stretch Lin was on the floor even if Lin himself was sucking.

    good post codman.

I expect much more specific coaching but meh. Yes Man is what Morey wants. Mchale is doing his job, he just needs a better staff to back him up.

His mum passed away recently after that too.

Pretty tragic, if you ask me.

Bev saved the game and won it for the Rox in the last few minutes buddy... I don't care how much he sucked earlier nor should anybody else.. He saved the day.

Funny you mentioned that. I must've thought of the exact same thing like you did when ESPN mic'd up Coach Mchale. He wasn't exactly coaching but he's very motivational to say nonetheless.

Very disappointed no Kiss of Death from Pat tonight. We need to hire Mario as an assistant to coach swagger.

Jesus Christ the gnashing of teeth over Lin is ridiculous.

He had a **** game. Wasn't too long ago he had a string of great games.

At least the team is deep enough that someone can step up and finish when things are going south. Beverley had some pretty useless games himself.

Well, the Rockets having WON the game should give you some idea of how badly Bev was owned.

for example, can you really say Dragic completely destroyed Bev the whole game but luckily the Rockets ended up winning.

or does this make more sense: Dragic was on fire for a couple quarters. Just like anyone in the league can get on fire. Yet he wasn't consistent enough to bring Phoenix the win.

I don't know why you took it there, but you didn't need to. Of course I sympathized with all of that. I even said a prayer for his family.

But your post is really off-base and has very little to do with this game. No parent gets over the death of a child, but if you're going to talk about "time," it wasn't last week/month that his horrible tragedy occurred.

You can defend him all you want, and I'll admit that I'm his biggest critic and doubter, but don't try and use something like that as your argument.

    Really?!

Also, don't get to miffed about Dragic. Dude got hot. It happens. But he's still a ball-dominant guard who would have the same problems Lin had sharing the backcourt with Harden.

Dragic is, objectively speaking, better than Lin. But Lin is still the better contract, and he has time to develop into a Dragic.

Rockets playing some seriously bad basketball these last two games. There is no reason these games should be that close. Just giving potential match ups in the playoffs confidence that they can compete with the Rockets in a 7 game series.

He probably would've gotten a technical & then were tied.

Serious question: Is Dragic's current level of play Jeremy's ceiling? I'd be fine with that.

Take it where? To the actual facts of life that might effect someone's job in a serious way?

I call it as I see it. He had one nice pass to Casspi's 3 but he misses so many things and drives with intention to finish like he is Tony Parker with actual talent and ability to consistently finish in the paint.
