NFL to adopt 15-yard penalty for use of racial slur?

    stupid. If i am a player i give no ****s if somebody uses a racial slur at me. I care if someone tries to take out my knees. Also, they would be giving the word power by making a rule like this.

    Why not just lump slurs (of any kind) in with "taunting"?

    I doubt too many white players openly use the n-word on the field.

    Black players should be penalized left and right for this one though.

    Black people in general should be able to say "*****" whenever the hell they want. It is a form of endearment and empowerment.

    Can't believe people are completely okay with slowly stripping away the rights of players one by one on field.

    Let's just take away all displays of emotion too. No off-topic conversation either. How about raising your hand for permission to talk?
    Its ruining the NBA and its about to ruin the NFL.

    They should not have named the penalty "Racial Slur" but rather "Richie Incognito."

    not sure why the nfl is trying to police the way black people talk to each other. seems like an insignificant issue that isn't THAT important.

    I think racial slurs are an integral part of the game today. It adds to the competitive spirit of the sport. I do think that only players of the same race should be allowed to use racial slurs toward each other.
