14/16. The 2 I missed were because I read the question too quickly (altitude) and I did a basic math error on the weekly allowance one.. Not bad, considering I haven't had any math for 9 years..
Bite your tongue!! I'm off today, so I have real stuff to do at home. In fact, you've given me an idea. I'll save this quiz till I return to work on Friday!
14/16 with a calculator. I used to be good at math, and then it got all complicated. I guessed on the bow with the pot in it. Multiple choice math tests are somewhat easy, because all you do is plug one of four or five numbers in for x.
16/16 Fun little test, though my score would have dropped if it got into really complicated geometry. I'll take calculus over doing geometry proofs anyday. B
I dint git any uv them rite. Im sad. I like fatman510's response : "I'm an engineer so math comes really easy to me..." Man, it was 8th grade math! I would hope it comes easy to you!
Hate to hijack this thread with a Simpons scene, but DoD's post has inspired me: Burns: Could you explain your model, young man? Grimes: [from audience] What's to explain? He's an idiot! Lenny: [from audience] Pipe down! Homer: Well basically, I just copied the plant we have now. Burns: [impressed] Hmmm. Homer: Then, I added some fins to lower wind resistance. [points to a stripe on the cooling tower] And this racing stripe here I feel is pretty sharp. Burns: Agreed. First prize. [gives Homer a blue ribbon, and some money] [cut to audience shot] Grimes: [stands up] What? Carl: Way to go, Homer! Lenny: You're number one, Homer! Grimes: But it, it was contest for children! Lenny: Yeah. And Homer beat their brains out! [audience cheers wildly]
busted a 16/16. i'm good at math so i would hope i got a 16/16. oh and i'm pretty sure this has been on here before but i don't know when.
16/16...and that diff. calculus was pretty easy too...but then again I'm 20 and in college majoring in Computer Science so I better be good at math or I'd die
I put this up because you'd be shocked at the number of adults that don't possess basic math skills. Of course, finding the length of the hypotenuse (sp?) of a right triangle isn't exactly 1+1=2, but it's still something everybody should understand... Good to know that everybody here is ahead of the curve.
