Hmmm... I thought it was to signify his point being made. I didn't know signifying ones' point translated into trying to be a badas$
Can someone please provide an update? What's the word? If Harden will be out for 4-6 weeks, I think it could be a blessing in disguise. We have shown we can win without him. We might slip in the standing a little, but that's ok. 4-6 weeks later, he will be back well rested for the playoff. And while he is out, we can develop some plays involving DH more. This is actually not bad at all.
IIRC, Kyle Lowry hyperextended his elbow and was only out for one or two games, maybe none. Couldn't shoot for squat for a bit after that, but he was back.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>James Harden's hyper extended right elbow has improved greatly today. Might not do MRI, which only would show extent of damage, after all.</p>— Jonathan Feigen (@Jonathan_Feigen) <a href="https://twitter.com/Jonathan_Feigen/statuses/436974761696980992">February 21, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
from Playerline: "James Harden's hyperextended right elbow has improved greatly on Friday and the team might not conduct an MRI. 02/21/2014 | 01:54 pm This is terrific news on Harden. He said after Thursday's game he was dealing with throbbing pain, and there were some reports he was worried about missing time. Harden shoots left handed and he was able to shoot free throws after sustaining the injury on Thursday, so there's a good chance he won't miss time. He should still be considered questionable for Sunday's game against the Suns. "
Why? I just treat it like points of emphasis. TL;DR basically. Why the heck do people always have to read things posted on here in some antagonizing inner voice.
I would not be mad if he sat a few games because I want to see if Canaan or Hamilton can contribute to this team....and we all know Injury is the only way these guys will get any PT with how short Mchale runs his rotations.
That is why the warriors set a bunch of screens and picks for their guards to get open shots. The Rockets one on one iso pass the ball around shoot contested 3.
I find it ironic that the same people who claim to be tired of the "Lin lovers" or "Lin fans" are the first ones taking shots over every little thing including resting our star player.
This incident is, of course, James's fault. It's no coincidence that this happened in February. James has been away at the All Star Break and before that was incognito. Poor Jeremy just didn't recognize him without his makeup on. I blame Foot Locker. You can say it's Lin's fault but... Spoiler I would disagree
I'm not a "Lin homer" but I do find it funny that fans hate a player on their team so much that they attack him over every little thing. For people to attack Lin because teammates accidently collided with each other because, *gasp* nothing like that has ever happened, is ridiculous and tiresome. I'm guessing that if it was another player people would chalk it up as an accident. But since a group of fans have taken to deciding they want to bring Lin down a peg he'll be responsible for every thing under the sun.
The only problem is that Harden's threshold for pain is through the roof...... He could still have damage in spite of his claim that he feels better..... I'll only be relieved if he plays Sunday and shows no ill effect.
That way Howard can work on his inconsistent post game. Lin can work on not being inconsistent... And the great super star Parsons who is too d@mn good to trade for a championship star point guard can jack up over 20 shots and Howard can be worked into the offense more with Harden out the picture. Yeap, not bad at all...
