Before the All-star break , one could argue that the rockets 7 game winning streak was highly dependent on the Beverey/Lin combo. McHale has even stated that he really likes this combo. Having these guys on the floor together is one of the rockets best units. We did not see them play together much last game, and so far they have not this game. My question is why ? The rotation seems to have changed. Instead of Lin coming in around the 6:00 minute mark he now comes in around the 9 minute mark. Please Kevin, put one of our best combinations on the floor.

Still has time to unleash them.

But with them being the only PG'S tonight I doubt we see much of it.

I know its a bit of a kneejerk, but still, I don't think he would have played them tonight unless Harden picks up his 3rd foul before the half. I know last night was a blowout, but it wasn't a blowout before the half, and McHale didnt play them together in the first half.

I agree. I usually support McHale, but his lineups can be perplexing.

Luckily that hasn't been a problem when we only have 7-8 legit rotation guys, but now that we're healthy, he's back in rotation scientist mode.

I think he did when he put Lin, Harden, Beverly for most of the 4th and OT.

Yeah he did , but he did it as a last resort instead of going to it in the first half like he usually does. Also bev/Lin without harden wasn't seen.

We used this combination in the clutch and it wasn't effective thanks to hero ball.
