It's risky because all it takes is a freak injury to Lin and Beverly (which already happened this year) and we don't really have anyone else to turn to. Also, you know Brooks has proven he can rise to the occasion in the playoffs.
Didn't say you couldn't. Didn't say you could. What I did say months ago was Brooks doesn't have a future here and wouldn't be here past the trade deadline.
Hope? Isaiah is already a better player than Brooks. He's already a better player than Lin. But we can't play him yet becasue if we benched Lin we would have no hopes of trading Lin later.
Obviously Morey was asking too much for Jeremy (and Asik, for that matter). Jeremy was prepared to be traded and didn't seem that he would be upset if traded (and probably looking forward to be traded). PT is very important for players, just ask Aaron Brooks. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/f7DdVxIfTaQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
This. Competitive players would prefer playing time than staying with a good team at the end of the bench.
Typical clowning. Morey himself stated that Brooks took less money to come here. He is a speedy PG with great playoff experience and the best shot on the team. He was good for exactly what we needed him for and stepped up to the plate and excelled whenever we needed him.
How can you say he is better than Lin and Brooks when he has yet to do anything? Not saying you are 100% wrong, but you can't make such claims at this time
i think he may have become gradually a bit frustrated with his role, or lackthereof, just wanted more playing time I guess. It's the only real explanation for his change of heart from the start of the season. Which is fair enough.
I would have agreed with you, but he said no to the initial trade proposal. He changed his mind today after a second conversation according to Feign. I'm not angry about the trade, on the contrary I really hope that this kid fills in for the garbage Casspi and Garcia bring to the table. That has really seemed to hold us back.

I don't understand the thought that we were just trying to rid ourselves of Lin. There was mumblings about Shump/Hardaway jr and quite a few people thought we'd have to attach something to rid of his 'toxic contract'. He understands it's a business, like everyone, and he'll never have to deal with something like getting cut on xmas day by Morey. Hell even Danny Granger who's been a bit part of the Pacers for recent times got shafted to the Sixers. is what it is.
He did despite what some of the clowns here think and declined the initial trade proposal yesterday. After a second conversation (none of us know what happened) he agreed.
If anything, it'll give Aaron more PT and a better chance to chase the contract that Manu robbed him off, all the best for him, and yeah we needed some wing depth given the struggles of those two, area of excess to area of need.
