I'm not sold we even wanted Hamilton. Maybe we did Brooks a favor. Morey isn't going to send in a trade without knowing Brooks was on board (no-trade clause) beforehand. Maybe Aaron asked nicely or an opportunity for Brooks to get some real PT and increase his value around the league came up.
HUGE as in stepping in and hitting shots. If this kid isn't a good 3pt shooter, than getting a defensive wing at the expense of AB was pointless. One of Cisco's and Casspi's biggest problems is SHOOTING. Yet you trade your best 3pt shooter?
4\6\14 is our meeting against the Nuggets. Lets see if Hamilton plays over the players ahead of him Glad that was the only move. We look Strong and will continue to orbit high!
still dont get how it doesn't make sense to you. On a team filled with guards and no depth at wing and defense being one of the weaknesses. lol
You just made my point Given Lin hasn't been healthy the last few years in the playoffs, and when he has been healthy he's been terrible, AB was and would be valuable in the postseason. Now when Bev goes to the bench, and Lin began turning the ball over and throwing up bricks, who comes in to hit open 3's? Jordan Hamilton?
Sure! Lets trade for a pg who sucks now and is getting paid over 9 mill next 2 years to be our 3rd stringer.
And even when you're scenario of Lin turning the ball over and bricking happens, when has Brooks been in the game?
Can someone please sticky this: Jordan Hamilton is NOT (N-O-T) a defensive wing. I have no idea where this rumor got started, but it's like someone saying Dwight Howard is a perimeter shooter. It couldn't be more inaccurate. He can shoot. He loves to shoot. He will probably shoot too much and frustrate you. There will be some games where you will want him to get the ball every time down the court. There will be games where you will cringe every time he touches the ball because you are nervous he's gonna launch it from half-court. In all honesty, a cold-blooded shooter off the bench is our biggest glaring weakness. (Don't even bring up Brooks... he hasn't been that guy for years.) Hamilton CAN be that guy. He won't be every single night, but there will be nights he will be. For a 3rd string PG who really only gets minutes in blowouts, I'll take it.
