Hayward and Parsons are both worth $10-12 mil per year, tops. Anyone paying more than that is going to have a tough time winning with that much money locked up in a non-superstar.

getting the vibe from cyberx that management is ready to include CP25 if they have to.

We can afford to give Chandler his max, which is a "low max" compared to the Melo, Kobes of the world.

Not making this deal allows the Rockets ~17 million in cap room in 2015, and then using bird rights to re-sign Parsons. It may not be enough for Love, but we can go out and get a Milsap or a Dragic for that kind of money.

    Parsons/Milsap > Rondo

The Rockets made 64 million dollars in operating profit last year, they can afford it.

I see Parsons getting an Iggy type of contract.

I am under the firm component that chemistry means something. Look at the Rocket games this year with Chandler out. It is worrisome.

Other than that, I am skeptical if someone like Parsons would be as valuable with a Rondo on this team. Good post, but still didn't answer my question!!!!!!

Players aren't just paid for production but also potential. Hayward is 23. His agent saw what Batum got, who entered the NBA as an 18 year old. However, one major factor is David Kahn isn't in the league anymore. That's the guy who gave Batum a near-Max deal.

I definitely believe so, if not max then its near max.

So potentially we are comparing a big 3 of Harden, Howard, Parsons with Harden, Howard and Rondo. I would take Rondo and find upgrades at the SF.

Rondo also expires in 2015, and we'll have his bird rights.

I agree with cyberx, Parsons is not a max contract player. Anyone who says otherwise is either a homer or does not watch much basketball outside of the Rockets.

I'm been reading the GARM here on Clutchfans for almost 15 years, and every single time someone had said "book it" they were not only wrong, but as completely, absolutely wrong as possible.

"Book it" is a phrase used only when someone doesn't have a clue what they're talking about but are secretly hoping their idiotic prediction miraculously comes true.

I see why everyone likes CP. GREAT guy, fun, a player (on and off the court), good heart.

Also as one agent told me today - "Everyone is always pulling for the white guy"

the coaching staff is still the same. maybe rondo could have hidden their flaws by sort of being the coach on the floor. but as it stands we are not beating okc or lac if their stars are playing.

Ainge just wait for Hayward ! He will take a cheaper contract to be with his college coach

    Leave Parsons alone !
