Chauncey Billups won finals MVP and nearly led the team in PER, if it weren't for Shred coming in at the last third of the season.

I like parsons as much as the next guy but were overrating him a lot. He's a 15 and 5 player with a avg per on a 36 min basis. He's a nice player but I'm about 90% sure Morey is not going to give parsons more than 4/36 mil. Championship teams don't give 40 mil plus to players their not sure can be the 3rd best player on a championship team.

Morey has even said himself he doesn't think we have our 3rd best player.

I was definitely very much on board with the "asset merry go round" ways of Morey in the past few years. But right now I'm near the tipping point where I kind of wish we keep some of own home-grown talent. This would mean Jones and Parsons. I do understand that one of them at least has to go for the 3rd star necessary. And for that Jones is easier to swallow on a personal level because he's only played for maybe half a season on court, while I've watched Parsons for the past 3 years.

I will choose Rondo over Parsons. But it's a tough decision.

It's about more than stats (which is ironic since we're talking about Morey). He does little things that make our offense work. He slashes, shoots the ball reliably and the pump fake (oh the pump fake).

Yea you can find a 15 & 5 guy but this guy makes our offense go. Have you watched any of the games without him in the lineup this year? Ain't pretty.

I voted for Parson because he is the heart of the team and a VERY GOOD players on both ends of the court. But . . . Rondo might be a great player on both sides of the court. I'm torn. And Rondo might actually be a more fiery player and might be the spark that ignites this whole pile . . .

6'9" guys who can handle the ball and shoot the three don't grow on trees.

Deron is injury-prone because he has absolutely ruined ankles. Rondo's come off one major injury and is working through kinks like anybody else with an ACL injury would. I wouldn't consider Dwight Howard injury-prone, and I wouldn't consider Rondo either.

Now if he had another serious injury ala Rose, then questions can get asked.
But the dude is 10 games back from injury, and absolutely proven himself as a bonafide gamechanger.

    <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Rajon Rondo had a PER of 4.7 in his first six games back from the ACL. 28.4 over the past four. -- Stats: <a href="http://t.co/3nu5AipV39">http://t.co/3nu5AipV39</a></p>&mdash; RealGM (@RealGM) <a href="https://twitter.com/RealGM/statuses/435874442871185409">February 18, 2014</a></blockquote>

sentiment is a defect found in losing teams. We all know how rutheless Morey can be, and he'll absolutely pull the trigger if the price is right.

The Rockets would lose balance by giving up Parsons for Rondo. I could see a Lin/DMo/Casspi for Parsons but that's not the direction the celtics are going.

i like rondo, but i dont think that's what the team needs. just need to strengthen the bench. minor tweaks and the rockets will grow together more by next year. all of the title contending teams have had relatively stable rosters.

Unless Rondo is not fully recovered from his injury, it's all the way Rondo. Parson is good and just may be great. Rondo is already great.

Parsons. Rondo is not worth the price of giving up our core player.

I don't think you trade a healthy very good up and coming shooting forward for a great point guard coming off a ACL surgery. Although it may be tempting, Parsons, from what i sense, has built up chemistry with this team on and off the court already. Idk though, its a tough call.

I want the rockets to just keep the band together and see what happens in the playoffs for once. Morey messed it up last year with the ridiculous Trob trade. But if he had to make a trade I would do Bev, Parsons, and Asik for Rondo and Green. Parsons is good but Green is a better 2 way player. And Rondo with Lin as the swing guard off the bench is an upgrade over Bev.

Lets just trade Asik for Hawes and a 1st rd pick and lock up the #2 or #3 seed please

Harden Parsons & Howard are our big three. Who has a third best player than Parsons? I wish the media would stop talking about acquiring a third player, he's already on the roster.
