Lin Among Favorites to Win Sixth Man of the Year Award

Crawford might have a better shot at it, but Lin's definitely worth some consideration.

 

Lin's got to become a dead eye shooter again whether it be catch and shoot or off the dribble. This would open up his game so much......

 

Word. He's been so streaky lately. Like old school Rex Chapman streaky. Man that dude could shoot.....when he was on.

 

No way Lin deserves it at this point. He's started too many games. If Bev can stay healthy the rest of the year, and Lin can keep playing the way he has during the streak, then I think a strong case can be made for him.

Jamal Crawford is way overdue for this award, but he's started a lot of games. So has Lin.

Not sure who else to include.

 

If Westbrook comes back, it might be Reggie Jackson.
Stat wise you might include Nick Young, Belinelli, Markieff Morris, Ginobilli, Dion Waiters, Rodney Stucky and Taj Gibson.
And personally I'd like to add Vince Carter into the mix.
When Isiah Thomas came off the bench it was no question asked that he would've been 6th MOTY, but now that isn't gonna happen.

 

very true. the sad side is, PB is not good enough for starting pg. The coach made a good move, but the defence problem still hasn't been solved.

Rumor says M is targeting good defensive backcourt for next trade, hope it is true.

Forgot about that, I was confused since last season they interviewed him about losing out on 6MA to J.R. Smith and he said something to the tune of how he's overdue to win it, so I assumed he hadn't won it yet.

 

As long as Lin continues to help the Rockets stay in top four seeds and keep his EFF, I think he has a great chance winning the 6DOY, and all true Rox fans should root for him.

It might be helpful to find out how Lin's win share compares with the others'.

 

Not sure about win shares, but Jamal Crawford's usage rate is higher than Harden's this season.

 

Crawford is now listed as the starting SG. Would he still be considered as sixth man?

 

Doesn't matter. Just have to come off the bench more than you start.
