I think they can sneak in as the 8th seed now that Gasol is back. Definitely won't make it past the first round though.
I don't think so, they dug too deep an early hole for this year's Western Conference. I fully imagine they'll be a playoff caliber team the rest of the way, but not enough so perhaps to close the gap with Dallas or Phoenix.
Phoenix will start losing, but you guys are fighting Denver and their overachieving bunch. If Minny doesn't figure it out, I'd give the edge to Memphis.
I think so, their defense is looking much better, even prior to Gasol coming back. I think they'll finish at about 48 wins. 43 games to go, they are certainly capable to win 25-30 of them if no more setbacks. Which would put them at 45-50 wins.
The west is so close, only proven teams like OKC and San Antonio are locks for the playoffs. The Rockets themselves are one small losing streak away from falling out of the playoffs and fighting for the 8th spot. They should be really concerned if I were them. Minnesota is better than their record, as is Memphis with Gasol and now Courtney Lee. I also wouldn't count out some Miracle comeback for the Lakers when Kobe returns.
They're only two games out of 8th, currently. And with Bledsoe being out for PHO (currently 8th), I don't think the Suns will make the playoffs. In fact, the 8th seed is ripe for the taking, unless Dragic has the best season in the history of the NBA.
I think there's a good chance they could still make it. They're only 2 games down from the number 6th seed. Dallas, Phoenix, and Golden State are all struggling.
I don't think Dallas and Phoenix will both make the playoffs. One of those teams will go on a losing streak down the stretch and drop off. Memphis is a team that I would fear as a #7 or #8 seed. They take advantage of the refs in the playoffs and the team has a lot of experience winning in the playoffs from the last few years.
If they can get all their guys healthy then I think they can. I actually hope they can because they seem like a team that could be a good match up for OKC and if OKC somehow falls, the Rockets or any team has a great chance of a finals appearance. But right now, with Conley injured and Gasol still ailing, I don't know if they can catch up. So I'm going with no.
Conley is supposed to be back after the ASB, and if Gasol can stay healthy I think they will make it by edging out Phoenix or Golden State. Dirk will probably will Dallas into the playoffs. Anyway I hope Memphis makes the playoff. They have the potential to upset the Thunder which I think will help the Rockets a lot.
They could make it, but I think they are looking at an early exit even if they do manage to make it as a 7 or 8 seed.
I voted yes but it depends on what moves these fringe playoff teams make. Suns are trying for Gasol/Thad. Young plus they got Blesdoe coming back.
