    I don't think we can take OKC tomorrow but I have if we improve at this rate, we could easily take them come play-off time.

    Crappy teams on an easy schedule. I've said it before, but people are reading too much into this streak.

    If both teams walk into the series 100% healthy, then no we won't win. It's a match-up between a fighter in his prime and a new up and comer. Oklahoma is too seasoned and Durant is playing at too high of a level this year.

    Back to the fighter analogy, if we make it a good fight but still lose then our future looks bright. But if we get knocked the heck out in the first few seconds of the fight then we will never be a contender.

    Yes, but earlier in the season they couldn't even beat crappy teams and they have done well against good teams too. Most aren't reading too much into it, they are doing what fanatics should do. Get excited and enjoy the ride.

    This "momentum" we've generated from this winning streak will mean nothing when it comes to facing OKC.

    If rock wins 7 games in a row and then faces paper, they will still lose to paper. OKC has and will continue to be a terrible matchup for this Rockets team. If we do face them, I really hope it's in the WCF so at least we can say we had a nice season and probably overachieved a bit.

    Rockets need a shooter, too. They can try to get whoever OKC wants to get.

    Regular season results don't matter. It's all about how well the team is playing at playoff time.

    Remember this?

    1994-1995 Regular Season
    ------------------------------
    Dec 10, 1994 Spurs 108- Rockets 96
    Dec 23 1994 Spurs 98 - Rockets 96
    Jan 13 1995 Spurs 103 - Rockets 100
    Jan 26 1995 Spurs 103 - Rockets 100
    Feb 21 1995 Spurs 98 - Rockets 97
    Mar 5 1995 Spurs 124 - Rockets 103

    Spurs win regular season series 6-0.

    Nov 23 1994 Magic 117 - Rockets 94
    Mar 2 1995 Magic 107 - Rockets 96

    Magic win regular season series 2-0

    Playoffs:
    ---------
    WCF - Rockets defeat Spurs 4 games to 2.

    Finals - Rockets defeat Magic 4-0

    If I was a gambler I'd take OKC but I don't think its as far fetched to beat OKC as you guys might think. We almost beat them (without Westbrook) last year. I feel like we are starting to figure some stuff out. I say there's a chance.

    If we can score, yes. If not, don't think so.

    Of all the teams in the West, OKC is the only one I think we can't beat. Anyone else is totally possible.

    Guys, this is as big a bunch of home team homers as you will find and 3 out of 4 of us says no.

    Keep dreaming about our 94/95 teams but this league isn't void of James and Durant.

    If they didn't have Sefelosha defending Harden I'd have the Rockets favourites

    The Thunders and Clippers will expose our weakness and destroy us in 7 games.

    I think we'd have more of a chance with Westbrook playing than without now that Durant has greatly improved his playmaking. Westbrook gets the ball out of Durant's hands better than any defender in the nba, and he's a chucker to boot. Westbrook was a necessary evil last year, because Durant wasn't really much of a playmaker, I'm not so convinced anymore. They're still better than us, but Westbrook is more of a random noose factor that could hang around their neck.

    Westbrook isn't even back yet, and look how good they are already.

    And in '95 the league wasn't void of Barkley, Malone, Stockton, Robinson, Rodman, Shaq and Penny (who knocked off MJ and Pippen's Bulls in the ECF).
    That's 6 future hall of famers who's season was ended by the Rockets.

    The most amazing thing about that playoff run in '95 is that the Rockets beat three 60 win teams and a 59 win team to earn the title. Never been done before and it's never been done since.

    I said this a couple of weeks ago.

    extremely bad matchup for Rox against OKC.

    Howard - Perkins --> Howard, but Perkins can push Howard out
    Who -- Ibaka --> Ibaka
    Parsons -- Durant ---> Durant
    Harden -- Sefolosha --> Harden, but Harden's FG % will be terrible against Sefolosha.
    Beverly -- Westbrook --> Westbrook

    That's the thing, I wouldn't say we're on a roll. We're narrowly beating bad teams. Many games we're catching teams on a 2nd night of a B2B as well. Definitely glad it's W's though.

    OKC probably beats, even without Westbrook.
