For the poster who thinks Kevin Love is the 4th best prospect to build around behind Lebron, Durant and Drummond. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>The two worst rim defenders in the NBA (via player tracking) with 5 FGA per game at rim are Kevin Love (58.8%) and Nikola Pekovic (58%)</p>— David Locke (@Lockedonsports) <a href="https://twitter.com/Lockedonsports/statuses/422856593651167232">January 13, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
I understand this. However, defense is not an individual aspect of the game like offense is. You can be a lock down individual defender, but if your teammates don't have your back and there is not good defensive scheme, then defense won't be good. George looks like a better defender than he actually is due to the Pacer's excellent team defense. Vehemently disagree with this. Harden has come up huge in the last two years I've seen him play, except he struggled for a couple games in the NBA Finals. So, if having a rough couple games in the finals means "not showing up in the playoffs" then you should re-watch the semifinals and western conference finals where Harden single handedly won games. Just because Francis at times had low bball IQ didn't mean he didn't have heart. I know when a player has heart or not and Francis had it. 'Nuff said.
Paul George also doesn't go for 35 on 14 shots with 6 and 6. I don't think some of you realize how rare harden is on offense. He's a special talent, it always easier to become a great defender but you can't teach some of the stuff harden can do with a basketball.
falling back to Earth LOL@ people claiming he would could have maintained that crazy efficiency forever
Why do you consider Kevin Love a rim protector? He's as much of one as Blake, neither really have the attributes to play C. For our team, we struggle with defensive rebounding, Love is the best in the nba, and the 4 out 1 in offense with his ability to float from 10ft, either to the rim or 3 point line would be on a cosmic level. No he's probably not a good prospect to build around, ala what Minny are doing and LA want to do though, you can, but you need time and a good idea how to build a team, neither of those teams seem to. For Minny, it's almost whatever they can get and Rick favors, for the Lakers its "Stars? stars right? it's about stars, he's a star!" drool...
Paul George all day he straight pimp slapped Harden in the head to head a 2 way wing player. Let me put it this way if you had PG the only player you would compare him to is Lebron and Durant. On the Knicks board they are always comparing Melo to Durant and the same argument applies if the Knicks had Durant they would not be comparing him to Melo.
Pg never should be compared to KD and Lebron that's crazy talk, the guy is no we're near the offensive players those guys our, hardens alot closer to those players production then Paul George. The grass is not always greener on the other side you know?
HARDEN. I still stick by this as I always have. The beard is such an incredibly unique player He's so offensively gifted.
People can be so fickle. Just cause George is going through a tough stretch and Harden has picked up his defense which was comical before doesn't change the fact that they're both very good players who bring different things to the table. Even though I like Harden and love the Rockets if I could choose to build around one or the other I picked George before and I'm still taking George now and tomorrow as well.
Harden while in OKC has been known as a good defender PG has never proven he is an elite offensive player
James Harden: Elite offensive player average defensive player Paul George: Good offensive player Elite defensive player take your pick.
