Mchale is on record as saying he is not an X's and O's coach even former players have said it. He is a players coach and everyone knows it so this is no surprise.

Lin made bonehead plays in the 4th... but the game was almost lost in the 3rd...

Lin isn't a baby. He can take criticism along with the rest of the players. Criticising some aspects of his game =/= blaming the entire fault on him on.

Seems like they ran the same play with some modifications. In this second time, instead of Lin curling followed by Harden, Lin jumps and backs off the curl while Harden gets free with some "veteran leadership" from Howard followed by what the Beard does best... Eurostepping his way to a win.

Ariza shot lights out. Otherwise this would've been a blowout.

 

stop sooking people, Rockets won, 7 in a row and possibly in the top 4 in the West by All Star weekend, everything is coming together

 

Lin was not guarding Ariza. Harden was.

Several players, including Lin, made some bonehead mistakes.

BTW, it is just one of those nights. Ariza was in the zone and that's nothing you can do about it. McHale should have called the timeout earlier and hoped Ariza cool off.

A win is a win. No matter how ugly it is! Also I guess Morey's big projection screen finally has its worth :grin:

Yep. We made 24 TOs and Harden basically didn't guard Ariza. Wizards had more than enough chances to win.

 

Right, that's why many people set high expectations on this team and have been critical of them even though they have a good record.

 

I know there's a recency bias, but people are talking like this is a close game because of Harden or Lin. That's just ridiculous. A number of factors contributed, Harden's D, Lin's TOs, Howard's TOs, Tjones's disappearing act, McHale not calling a timeout after the 2nd/3rd straight Ariza 3, etc. 2 points at the beginning of the game is not much less than the 2 at the end, even if the one at the end was cooler.

End of the day, rejoice in the fact that this team can win when it TOs the ball 3X its opponents It's gonna be scary for the rest of the league when this team gells.

 

The Rockets are a switch team on defense... You gotta blame who's ever on who at any give moment.

 

36-17. Who cares what the sports media has to say As for the teams, the only teams that don't take us seriously are the Pacers, Thunder and Clippers. The first two have child-abused this Rocket team. If we can find a way to win against these teams.......watch out......championship.

 

So the last couple of plays were drawn by Lin? Is he the secret coach behind this 7 game wining streak?

Maybe he should be benched more so he can draw plays for Mchale

 

Lin needs to play off the bench and Beverley start. It is better for the Rockets. Beverley increases the defensive energy off the team just by being on the court, and he doesn't turn the ball over.
