I asked this question in someone else's thread in the ROckets forum, but no one responded, so I will make it its own thread. Do you think that the King's performance in the playoffs might affect Webber's choice to leave? At this point, he seems dead set on leaving Sac-town, if you can believe the ESPN article. What if the King's get to the Western Conference Finals? What if they get to the finals? What if they win the championship? (Which is just about as likely as winning the WCF). Is there any situation under which CWeb would consider staying? ------------------ "Of course, everything looks bad if you remember it!" Homer Simpson
Yes. The current situation. ------------------ "Breaking up is hard to do...[with] everyone trying to make it a parting befitting all the professionalism that came before. Trying to find that Olajuwon graceful fade one more time." Scott Howard-Cooper (Sacramento Bee, ESPN.com)
I think they would probably have to do really well in the playoffs for him to stay. ------------------ The whole world we travel with our thoughts, Finding nowhere anyone as precious as one's own self. No chance. C-Webb is bored to death in Sac-town and earlier in the year cast dispersions that he doesn't feel his teammates care enough whether they win or lose. ------------------ The Rockets will be the NBA champions. Believe.
What are you basing this on, University? I agree, Sac seems to be a very good situation for most people, but lately, all that people have been reporting on is that Webber is very unhappy with Sacremento. The dude put his freaking house up for sale! What better evidence than that to show that he wants out? ------------------ "Of course, everything looks bad if you remember it!" Homer Simpson
I think the rockets would be an ideal situation for CWebb. The players here want to win, they work hard, and he would be the centerpiece inside. ------------------ The whole world we travel with our thoughts, Finding nowhere anyone as precious as one's own self. Since each and every person is so precious to themselves Let the self-respecting harm no other being. -from the Samyutta Nikaya
imo, a lot will depend on seeding. I'm confident the Kings can beat the Lakers and Utah. But, the Spurs and Blazers have superior defenses and should reach the conference finals. If the Spurs and Blazers end up in the same bracket, there is a good chance Webber gets this team through, and in the conf finals, then all bets are off.
I agree HP. Despite what CWebb says, I can't imagine wanting to leave a team that has a legitimate chance at winning a championship this year, let alone the next, working on what they built this year. But maybe winning isn't as important to CWebb. I certainly hope that is not the case. Here's to hoping the Kings get knocked out in Round 1 again! ------------------ "Of course, everything looks bad if you remember it!" Homer Simpson
