He's free, isn't he? Name him coach. Move Rudy upstairs.

He did a terrific job with the Pacers. He lost out on the Charlotte franchise. Think he could put some fundamentals and teamwork into Rocket basketball?

Would he come here to a place that he has no connection with?

Good golf is available. He could go around with Jeff and Mrs.JB... :)

I would love to have him coach, but not next year. Give Rudy another year to prove his worth.

Rumors (who knows if they are true) were that he was lazy and that Rick Carlisle did all the heavy lifting in Indy when he was there. Just rumors, so who knows.

    How about him?

    Why not?

Let Rudy have one more season

Interesting hes more than qualified. He will instantly bring more attention to the team and city. Should sell more tickets going to to the arena. It makes sense for les if your going to fire a legend around the city it makes sense to bring in another legend. I'm not sure if this would be a long term solution. Larry has to be committed to staying here to build a foundation. If he can do that than its a good idea. Im still pro rudy he deserves another year but I wouldnt mind seeing Larry come to Houston. Though for old time rocket fans this would be painful. It would be like brining in Karl Malone to come here and coach.

Has Bird said he's interested in coaching again? I'm really asking, and not trying to argue with anyone.

Well, Carlisle has certainly proven his worth, but I struggle with the concept of Larry Bird as lazy.

If our guys would tune out Larry Bird, we need new guys....

I remember Bird's coaching style is "the best coaching is not to coach anything." I heard it somewhere. This might be just some rumor.

Bird is working with the expansion team, if I'm not mistaken.

Lary was never considered any part of the Pacers success that one year. Most people said that they lost to the Lakers to easily as sign of bad coaching.

He was part of the group that lost out on the new Charlotte franchise.

So the same can be said of Byron Scott and Larry Brown?
