Would Laker fans be angry that this Dwight never showed up for them ?

    Dwight was never healthy in LA, he's not even completely healthy here, and the implication from Mchale was that he was in such bad shape he actually failed his physical.

    But just Dwight's numbers, he was scoring 0.45PPP in the post in month 1, whilst giving up 0.95PPP on defense in general, his numbers are now 0.76 (about 0.9 since month 1) and 0.81 (about 0.75 since). There has been a marked improvement in Dwight, and not just since last year.

    Strickly numbers-wise Dwight isn't better than ORL form. His points, blocks, rebounds, FG and FT% are all down. 54%FTs, hard to believe given he "seems" to have been decent this season. I think Dwight's post game has improved, but perhaps a slight decline in athletism. Not so bad, Dwight is still a top 10 player.

    Pretty much this.

    It's just funny hearing their spoiled asses be delusional. A comparison to me is rich guys who don't tip. You've enjoyed major success and are still uptight.

    Indeed

    Why does LA need to pay Kobe for what he's done? For one thing he's been making the max since his rookie contract expired. If the rest of the NBA operated like this MJ would still be making 20m a year and we'd still have Hakeem's salary on our books.

    They (Lakers management and fans) were inpatient with D12, not really understanding that he had just come off major back surgery. In fact, many a times, they were downright disrespectful to him, especially that prick, Kobe.

    To this day, I still cannot believe we got him. He is worth all those millions the Rockets are paying him.

    During that time period I believed that there were only 2 players in the NBA that could take any team, no matter how terrible, to the NBA Finals, Lebron and Dwight. Things have changed but I still believe Dwight is worth every penny and has the potential to take this team to the Finals.

    Orlando Dwight had a good coach (Stan Van Gundy) and not McHale. Plus that team was pretty good in comparison to what we have and was the perfect team for Dwight.

    Nelson > Bev/Lin
    Lee << Harden
    Turkoglu = Parsons
    Lewis > Jones
    Dwight >= Dwight

    SVG >> McHale

    Sadly the Fakers will likely have a top pick in this loaded draft and convince Melo or Love to join Kobe. They could be back in the playoffs relatively soon. Melo, 1/2 a Kobe, and Wiggins is a pretty decent core.

    The class of the West should be the Thunder, Clippers, and Rockets for the next several years so now is the time for Morey to make a move to set up a potential dynasty. The next 10 days will be extremely interesting.

    They salty, still in denial, downplaying how much it really hurts as Dwight thrives in Houston, while espn continues to cancel their games in favor of Dwights new team. Labeling Kaman the savior and better than Dwight, Jim putting their future on an old broken down superstar. Yeh they salty. The begging, the rejection, now the denial. The old breezy is still butthurt she got dumped.

    Trick question.

    The Lakers don't have any fans at this point in the season.

    No, they not paying Kobe $48Mil for what he had done, they paying him $48mil to just keep the fans interesting while they rebuild.

    Kobe is old, but he's still Kobe Bryant, he sells tickets.

    The lakers have this 3 years plan

    2014 - get a good pick and develop some young talents.

    2015 - sign Kevin Love

    2016 - sign another star

    if they get their hands on one of the star player from this year's draft, they could have 3 stars to compete for championship by 2016.
