Out west in Katy, Allstate is killing it.

I rolled with Homeowners of America for my new house.

I gave a thumbs up for Liberty Mutual for their local office's customer care. They have people in that office really willing to work and serve you especially with claims and getting the best rate. Their price was great too.

Everyone gets a rep on here.

Lots of good info to bounce around.

Bankers might be able to pay for a broken pipe or a random AC theft but how about when another Ike rolls through and you've got 500,000 claims at one time and there's a scarcity of resources both in way of company (adjusters & money) and from 3rd party contractors. All the big guys have A ratings for a reason and they can handle the tens of thousands of claims at any given time. I'd never buy with a B rated company because of Houston's susceptibility to large scale catastrophic [hurricanes] loss scenarios.

Rockland's E&O carrier might not even cover you for selling it. Something to consider.

I got Imperial as well through an agent. They are cheaper than AAA and Geico for the same coverage levels.

I hate all insurance companies. They will all just find a way to screw you out of your claim when you need it.
