As a private citizen he had the right to protect himself but he sure as hell didn't have the right to dish out vigilante justice. What do we know so far about the deceased? He walked on this guy's lawn while carrying a gun inside his pants. Did he break into this guy's house? No. Did he draw his weapon? No. This guy have no business chasing down the deceased for a block and gunning him down from the back

What makes you think it was vigilante justice? He told his loved ones to lock the door. I am beginning to think no matter what, the person alive gets the disdain.

The part of the article that mentioned that he chased down the deceased for a block and than gunned him down from the back while he was fleeing

The part of the article that mentions he was arrested and charged with murder. That's the charge vigilantes get...for good reason.

What articles are you reading? Sanes was not in anybody's home. From what I've read there's no indication that he tried to break into their home. He walked across their lawn. Then both men trespassed on an apartment complex's property with both men carrying pistols. Where culpability separates, one man threatened the other with his gun and physically accosted him. And you think the other guy is to blame?

Media jumped to quickly throwing MLKs name in there which they should be ashamed of doing. Trayvon had been kicked out of a Miami school (which is extra tolerant with students because of the high suspension rate) and they not only gave Trayvon 2 chances after being caught with drugs, be he did it a third time. Media also failed to mention that Trayvon had purchased 2 of the 3 items needed to make a drug he was known for talking about on the web. Ah, inconvenience at it's best timing.

how are drugs even relevant to the situation? If you're a 17 year old black kid who does drugs than you're a "thug"?

This disgusts me.... and its coming from a white guy. Racist bull****

Include yourself in that description. All the verdict means is that the prosecution did not prove all of the elements of the charged offense beyond a reasonable doubt. It does not mean that Zimmerman was in the right or that he is a good guy. In fact, since the case ended, we have seen that trouble follows Zimmerman around. He fancies himself as some kind of tough guy. Now he wants to fight a rapper on TV. He is the new Tonya Harding.

The fact remains that the Zimmerman case was going to be difficult to prove. There were no eyewitnesses who saw anything with any certainty on either side. The main prosecution witness (who was on the phone with TM) was a horrible witness who the jury had a difficult time following. This was not made any easier by the fact that the local police department did a horrible job investigating.
