Nice place to visit Hakeem Olajuwon increasingly has talked about playing somewhere else next season. But as much as he enjoys Vancouver, he ruled out furthering his career in Canada. "I always hear that rumor," Olajuwon said Monday. "It's not true. I'll come in the summer. I love it for the summer. I want to go somewhere that's almost there." Olajuwon said again that it is not inconceivable he will sign another contract with the Rockets. And he left little doubt he would at least consider playing beyond this season. "Look at the league," Olajuwon said. "Take out Shaq (Shaquille O'Neal). There's no big men. Big men are scarce. I'm healthy. I'm having fun. I can play. I feel I can do anything, because I'm healthy. Look at John Stockton and Karl Malone. They're healthy, and they're in the same system, and the game is easy. This is basketball. This is what I do." -- JONATHAN FEIGEN ------------------ "Instinctly u recognize things, now take advantage of what u just recognized!".. Hakeem..
Hakeem even joked around about even going and playing with Shaq in order to get another championship! ------------------ "Instinctly u recognize things, now take advantage of what u just recognized!".. Hakeem..
Thanks, Dcab. He was talking about Vancouver and then said he wanted to play somewhere that's almost there. I thought he meant Vancouver by there. Guess my brain slipped into neutral. ------------------ "I really don't try to score, I really just try and pick apart teams by passing to create opportunities." -- Cuttino Mobley [This message has been edited by Tb-Cain (edited December 12, 2000).]
Unless Dream wants to play for $2.5 million, we're bound to get something in a sign-and-trade (unless he stays with us, like I hope): Championship contenders have no cap room. ------------------ RealGM Rockets Draft Obligations Summary http://www.gaffordstudios.cjb.net/
