yep I did too! but like i said before if dragic wouldve took us to the playoffs that year, morey & les wouldnt have thought twice about giving him that player option he wouldve got it.
Wasn't realistic The team was too depleted towards the end dragic basically had no back up, courtney Lee had no backup, Patpat and Scola were taking turns playing center because Camby and dalembert were unhealthy. Before the losing streak that bumped us out of the playoffs, Dragic and Lee were playing 40+ minutes a game, on a condensed schedule and beating teams like OKC purely on heart and hustle, it was pretty incredible.
Who cares, we didn't want Lin, fans nor team. At that point we cared more about Dragic, and we'd still rather have him, but we don't. Ce la vie. If this team was able to 1 for 1 swap, Morey would do it. Dragic balled out of his mind for us, but he wanted to be in Phoenix.
I dunno I'm not sure morey would jump at it as quick as you might think, one of the reasons we didn't keep him was the player option 7.5 million in 2015-2016 season which rules us out of the summer of love. But I guess of parsons was going to be signed this summer then getting the dragon + using the full MLE could fill out our team nicely. But I guess as you say "that's life"
I don't think Dragic would be such a misfit here with Harden. Dragic is pushing the whole team to another level. He would also do it here. I love his ability to pass quickly twice or more in a row just to get the ball moving. He can be also very vocal on defensive end which would help us very much.
New Itw of Goran on nba.com http://www.nba.com/video/channels/nba_tv/2014/02/05/20140204-alink-dragic.nba (Dragon, "new" nickname ? dont we already knew that one ? )

Paul Coro @paulcoro #Suns guard Goran Dragic will be in the Skills Challenge on All-Star Weekend. He'll team with OKC's Reggie Jackson in a new relay format.
In transition he is unguardable, and he is a better 3pt shooter than Lin is. However, he seems having trouble going right when guarded one on one, and even going left, his strong side, he is not as quick as I think. Lin and Bev most of time were able to stay in front of him, resulting him having no where to go but kicking it out or turning it over. He is a smart player though and knows how to draw fouls in the traffic. And he also gets a lot of screens which help him penetrates the defense. A good player plays a system suits him. A better player than Lin, I will say yes, for now. But Lin is not out of his league like some Rox fams make it out to be.
This last month he's been playing like the best PG in this league. That is a given. Can he sustain it? If he does, lord have mercy on our souls and what could have been.

i'll be so happy for Goran if Paul skip ASG (and he should skip it, he has missed too many games to be legit)
