    That's a much better spirit ;)

and like others have said, we won't get anything back for the moment anyway so let's just hope he is into it (after he's back) and plays hard.

He went from bruised thigh(one week rest) to severe swollen knee after he changed his agent in no time.

At the very least, the team/doctors did Asik no favors by continuing to say they expected he would be back in about a week, every week since the injury. Perhaps he wasn't faking, but his actions leading up to the injury made it questionable, which was amplified by reports that he should be back in a week or so, his general attitude and effort prior to the injury, and basically being the longest thigh bruise recovery process I can ever recall. I do believe he has/had a thigh bruise, what I question is whether he could play thru the pain if he really wanted to.

Even if Asik is healthy and on the court, the big question is: Will he give 100% effort for the team that he demanded to be traded from and tried to get rid of him ?

He will if he wants another team to trade for him. I've heard of contract year but this is the first "trade for me" year.

Figuring out Asik's real injury situation has been a real puzzler for me for quite a while. Everyone who's been claiming it's real is on the Rockets' payroll. But at the same time ENOUGH people are claiming it's real that it seems real. But at the same time the timing is awfully convenient.

In the end, I think the bruise was real and the swelling was real, but the timetable was fake and he could have been back at 98% a month ago. But hey, maybe that extra month to pick up that extra 2% was worth it. Rockets have managed without him.

At any rate, if he plays good basketball I'll put it behind me.

It looks like an act to me.

    http://changingminds.org/techniques/body/parts_body_language/eyes_body_language.htm

    Eyes Body language

    Looking up

When a person looks upwards they are often thinking. In particular they are probably making pictures in their head and thus may well be an indicator of a visual thinker.

When they are delivering a speech or presentation, looking up may be their recalling their prepared words.

Looking upwards and to the left can indicate recalling a memory. Looking upwards and the right can indicate imaginative construction of a picture (which can hence betray a liar). Be careful with this: sometimes the directions are reversed -- if in doubt, test the person by asking them to recall known facts or imagine something.

Looking up may also be a signal of boredom as the person examines the surroundings in search of something more interesting.

Head lowered and eyes looking back up at the other person is a coy and suggestive action as it combines the head down of submission with eye contact of attraction. It can also be judgemental, especially when combined with a frown.

If you think about it another way, anything that happens around this time will look convenient.

Lin gets more playing time? Fishy...

Sander playing his best right now? Suspicious...

Westbrook aiming a return on Feb 29th? Him....

I had the same thought while watching the interview but contrary to you I think, that it has more to do with him not being a native english speaker and he wanted to make sure he says nothing wrong..after all when did you ever see him speak for so long?

This is a very true point. Anytime my parents or people that don't natively speak english speak, they have to sometimes pause and think of the next word they want to put into the sentence to make it sound right.

For the last time,he wasn't out this long because of a thigh bruise. Whether you think he was faking or not, the team has said on multiple occasions that his knee was swelling and they could not figure out why, but that every time they ramped up work outs, it swelled again. The thigh bruise was a short term thing.

Who knows what the truth is, we all know clutchfans tends to overreact and make assumptions that quickly turn into convictions. I'll wait until someone talks, if no one ever does...I'm inclined to believe this was once again an unwarranted lynching of a player based on no evidence.

Making up an injury that doesn't seem to have a solution and keeps on persisting is A LOT worse than a player with a surly attitude. The rockets would have to be r****ded to kill Asik's value by faking the injury news because it makes his value a lot lower, since he can't actually play.
