I am a bit surprised as well...Asik's injury seems to have been real. The guy should be in the Mafia, because there's no emotion in his voice.

Welcome back, big O! We will need you in the playoffs! I am sorry I have doubted your injury.

I think we'll see 5 minutes of Asik as soon as the blowout win in Milwaukee.

I still don't buy it. How come asik isn't at any of the home games? Greg smith is on the bench, why not Omer?

The guy is an iron man. Last year, he said there were times he played through pain and injuries where he clearly should've taken the game off.

Seems sincere in the video posted. If he comes back w/ his head in the game, I will happily eat all of my words.

....... he is at the games.... he usually isnt there at the beginning of the games, but he def comes and goes from the bench in his suit. He is at every single game btw. I guess CSN doesnt point that out for you the guys back at home. I see him at every single game, along with Greg Smith. I think Mchale has a policy of letting the injured players come and go off the bench as they plz thru out the game. JUST FYI.

I am so glad to have him back. I think he could be the missing piece that makes us elite. All we need now is a shooter, which we can get for Dmo+ 1st round pick+Filler. We are ready to go once this man comes back and is ready to help us win any way possible. Mchale cannot wait to play him either from his comments on Asik all the time lol

Anybody can sound and look sincere when their backs are against the wall. This is it for Asik. He must show that he is able to play either for this team or another team. There is a bunch of people in prison that claim they are innocent. They too sound sincere.

well, for the sake of the team, it should be treated as water under the bridge already whether he was truly hurt or just butt hurt, or more likely a combination of both.

everyone will benefit from moving on from the issues/problems etc, so it really does no good tearing down Omer for his perceived reactions in the recent past, if true at all.

look, we need more bench depth, we need at least one more serviceable big, we need to improve our defense. Asik fits the bill exactly. And it will be a very big boost if he is really past his hurts, both physical and mental, and is ready to perform at his peak level.

Amazing how much our bench gets boosted by the return of Beverley (Lin 2 bench) and Asik

    Prison? Really? LOL

Asik positioned himself as a top 8-10 center in the league last season. His ability to be massive hasn't disappeared. Whether he stays on or not, he'll be a starter somewhere in the league, which seems like what he wants, and bigmen don't come cheap.

My point has nothing to do with his abilities as a bb player, and everything to do with whether the guy is being truely honest.

Asik was tremendous for us last year. This year, since the Rockets acquired D12 he has been nothing but a g_d damn douchbag who quit on at least 2 games. Let's not even talk about his absence for the past 65 days.

If he is going to help this team this year, be better get his ass out there and work hard to minimally justify his contract.

I hope he returns to full health and plays hard. With Terrence Jones' improvement (actually, D-Mo has gotten better as well), with Lin and Asik playing hard, I don't really see any weak spot on our roster. I do think we can contend if everyone plays hard and we are well-coached...

Still think we need a pure shooter thats a wing defender as well.
